Orange wednesday and 3D

My daughter went to see AVATAR 3D using orange 214 deal only to be told this did not cover cost of glasses which was an extra £1.90, lucky she had estra money with her.

Has anyone else come across this RIP-OFF

Cinema concerned was Apollo Redditch

Are you joking? Why would the glasses be free?
  • It says clearly on the website "The offer does not cover 3D films".

Not a rip-off as far as I'm concerned.

A rip-off in this country could now be defined as 'not getting what I wanted because I couldn't be arsed reading the terms& conditions'
  • I'm amazed she even got the 241 deal on the 3D film - I've always known that they weren't covered... was she lucky or are some cinemas more lenient?

  • No our Odeon always honours the orange wednesday and the glasses are free. May be just really lucky.

I've never had a problem using the orange Wednesday offer on 3D films. Never been asked to pay for glasses.

Still even if I was, works out cheaper than buying full price tickets si I'd still be happy.

Maybe some normal glasses would be more beneficial in order to be able to read terms and conditions?
  • In my local Odeon you pay for one ticket and one pair of glasses, seems fair as its two for one.

Clearly states this on the website.

What's the "RIP-OFF" there, then? Not their fault nobody could be bothered to read through the terms properly.

It's not a rip-off. As others have said it clearly states this in the T&C's.

The real rip-off is the price of 3D films. Is it just me, or does anyone else actually think they are worth the money? I thought it was an amusing gimmick for about the first 30 minutes, then got fed up with it.
