Supermarkets sometimes think we are stupid.

    Look at this

    Bacon - £2 a pack buy 2 for £3.

In the reduced counter it was reduced down (singly) to £1.49. Saving a whole 2p if you bought 2 of them.

I never buy chicken reduced though, i did only once do this as i saw a breast that was that day's date, wanted to deep fry it
and when i unwrapped it, it absolutely stank to high heavan. Wont risk it again.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Take advantage of the supermarket being new - it won't be long before they get their buying patterns more accurate, so will have to reduce less stuff.

  • I'm not even sure if this is the right thread but anyway!

Last night in my local essex tescos, they had selected beer 3 bottles for £2.00 660ml San Miguel, I thought my eyes were missing something at £1.83 each, so I picked up 6. I thought that would be £4.
Once paid I realised on the receipt it said 2 bottles for £3, not 3 for £2, so only saved £1.98.
Which meant I paid £9.00 for beer that should have been £5, went back to the aisle and a very helpful man took me to customer services with the display ticket and they gave me £5 for the inconvenience and refunded me my £5 back!

I wonder if anyone else had checked their receipts as the offer must have been on for a week....infuture I shall check!
