And it's another day and something good is going to happen!

So sorry I threw my toys out of the pram. Thanks for picking them up though.

    Yeah! Morning everyone...POETS DAY!!!!

SB - I said I would nurture Jonni's balls, not cut them off. :D

I was on the phone and almost hysterical over the boiler...blokes don't do emotional women in any shape or form. The best bit is going to bed after crying as you wake up with eyes like puff balls!

I will take the vodka over the hob nobs!

And my career, well I just make stuff up really. :D

Poo, I now walk around staring at the ground thanks to you.

And Mike, you may have thrown your teddies out of the pram but I am going to keep the pink fluffy one, he is cute! :D

    I just said:

.. There are so many nice women around, how come I picked such a moo?

hindsight is a wonderful (but absolutely useless) thing! usually because 'nice' appears boring when we're yonger - only really comes into its own when we've got bored of 'exciting' :rotfl:

    hang on in there xx

Didn't want to read and run;-

Just spent the last two hours reading this thread, what a transformation from the beginning, feeling so pee'd off at that builder being such an a**hole, and the OP being so low, then as the pages went by such support from all you lovely people and the OP posts being more positive and lighter. This thread shows that okay there's some real selfish lowlifes out there with no morals but they're outnumbered by the genuine caring lovely people.

I'm now in an empty house, was going out with hubby and toddler son this morning but I'm still in bed with the laptop, the last I heard from them was my toddler telling me he was going to the One Show today Mummy (I was telling hubby about this thread!)

Mike you've got yourself another follower.

Is it time to rename the title of this thread yet? "It was really bloody awful but it's starting to get a little better"

Hi and welcome to the club!

It has been a bit of a saga, and I did read back myself the other night and I can see there's been a lot of learning on several people's parts. Which is fabulous. Knowing I wasn't being (completely) obsessive, and that in my place many other people would do exactly the same as I'm doing has been amazing. I admit I'm posting stuff that's perhaps peripheral to the central theme, but maybe that's the bits people identify with. I'm in this up to my oxsters and I made the decision to 'come out' and be more open somewhere around page 12 I think! So I might as well carry on. And you just have to believe that I am quite a shy sort of person really and bits of this have been quite hard to do.

I know the whole sorry business has had quite an effect on a couple of people and they've seen parallels with their own lives and things that have happened to them. If I was going to rename it, I would probably just call it 'A thread that's only a little bit about lousy builders'.

I think it's the first time in my life I've logged so many aspects of how I'm feeling and then been able to see how life is a rollercoaster. And as you say, the trend has definitely been one of improvement. I'll carry on until the last person drifts away, but by then I hope I will have achieved the thing I started off hoping for - someone stands up to a bad guy and wins, in spite of the legal system...

Enjoy the ride and be part of it! You'll find some of the funniest, cleverest, most caring and thoughtful people here you'll ever encounter...

I was going to detail the call I had with the bank refunding me my money, but I can't be arrsed!

Upshot is it takes a week for them to send me the form, a week to lose it internally, I call them and am told they can return only a fifth of what they said was available as a payment hasn't been received (that'll be my Tribunal outcome being added by the DWP system I expect) and it will take 3-5 days to reach my account. So touch and go for next weekend.

Dear reader, my heart sank at this news!

I think I'll go out and mug someone or do over the off licence! Seems a better plan than playing by the rules!

!!!ing bank !!!!! and !!!!!'s to !!!! and !!ing system, !!!!!! piece of !!!!!!!s!

    :(:(

Been sat here trying to think of something to say, something wise & comforting to make you feel better, I can't find the words.:(

Been sat here trying to think of something clever or funny in the hope it could make you smile and stop your heart from sinking, I can't find the words.:(

I don't mean the next part to sound flippant or uncaring, I wish that I could quote a famous phrase to inspire you, to cheer you up on an otherwise gloomy day the way you have cheered us all but this is all I've got.

You're like humpty dumpty, you didn't fall off the wall, you were pushed. It was the builder & banks, the bloody dwp & tribunals, the courts & its legal system, the disappointments & despair and your ex that done it. They left you in pieces.

I know we're no substitute for your boys but we're here, ready and waiting in the hope we can help put all your pieces back together.:o

    take care. x

:(:(:( Hope tomorrow brings better news for you. I know how you feel about benefits etc. I just had a massive circular discussion with them as well - it's not just you.
