That will take some saving given the price of them these days, Poo!

Big news...I had a second tradesman turn up tonight, on time!!! It seems we are going to do a bit of a trade off. I do him a favour and he will do me a favour in return. I can't believe the turn around this week after two weeks ago.

Now it's your turn Mike...how does the song go, things can only get better...

    Hiya hun,

Sorry for my slushy, mushy clumsy attempt to make things better!! Such an simple phrase but gets to the point so I'll remember it for the future!

Well Mr Rubber ball, nice to see you've bounced back again.

You've made more comebacks than Elvis!! :p

Considering I find it so hard to make English make sense, Can anyone translate all the foreign language stuff. Finding it hard to keep up as it is.

Thanks SB. When you think you're never going to get through something, someone comes along and does or says exactly the right thing. Believe me. I know.

Sorry I didn't get to the thread in time to say something unladylike but timely about your ex, Mike. Remarkable how childish some people get, despite being adults, isn't it? And conversely, how very adult some children's judgement can be...
There will now follow a disjointed series of replies to posts as I work my way down the rest of the thread.
Then I'm away for a couple of days so don't worry about me, I have not deserted you all, I will instead be in the strange realm of no computer access. Think of me fondly! :D

What does she mean - no computer access?

What, like just for a few minutes, yeah?

She doesn't mean... OMG... for a whole weekend???

Please no. Don't let it be true...!

Oh yes... I've heard about some of your 'favours'... is that with gravy or without? Have you no shame, woman? Does your barter system always involve stuffing in one form or another?

    Loving your Big News.

Hi Mike and everyone else - had one hell of a day - car failed MOT for a second time:mad::mad: and I am slowly beiginning to loose the will to live. Work was sheer hell as not enough hours in the day and boss kept promising his report for copying and collating and finally got it at 5 to 4:mad::mad: Sorry about your day Mike, but you have now bounced back again. I agree you ought to have the boys next weekend regardless and just tell them it is going to be a fun weekend making your own entertainment and cheap food. No 3 son has just said what can I have on these stale rolls!! I said put grated cheese on with slices of tom and grill them - like mini pizza - actually like the sound of it myself!! Well will catch up again over the weekend, but hope you all have a good one Billie xx

I don't do slush SB...But can I admit that I cried at Ice Age when I thought Diago had died?! :D

    WIMP!:p ( I CRIED LIKE A BABY AT MY DOG SKIP:o):rotfl:

It's a long story over the landlord - but the neighbour story would make your hair stand on end!

Oh HUN!, SORRY ....Hope I didn't offend, sounds like you had a bad time of things, not something to joke about.;) You'll have to tell me more about your neighbour story one day. Bit of hair already DOES stand on end...I had a tiny patch of hair loss right on the crown of my head ( Alopicia ). Hairs longish & usually clipped up but now it's regrowing, too short to lay flat so sticks straight up!..:rotfl:Call me tufty!!!:rotfl:

Um, 20ps undated. I could use some of those right now.

New 20p's from 2008! Very rarely happens but loads of them went into circulation without the date on them...making them VERY valuable. I didn't know myself until last year, cashed in £400 worth of 20p's & then read about it in the paper, someone was offering £20 for them. Following week, someone sold one on e-bay for over £7K....Bet the bank staff had a field day looking through the bags!!!.....Keep looking!:)

Have you ever tried Dooleys? Fab with ice.

Never heard of it?...Only drink when I go out...(not often..especially with tufty hair:rotfl:) but people tend to give me a bottle of Baileys at christmas so I've 3 bottles in cupboard to get through first....Always with loads of ice. Mmmm

I know I haven't introduced myself but I have been reading for a few days and it is so up beat. Mike you are a great guy and will get through this.
I just thought this Latin phrase might be needed.

Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.

SO SO TRUE, It happened to me, a wise man once said ALL the right things to me JUST when I needed to hear them, very inciteful man that I was trying to help at the time, turned out he was more helpful to me & I'll always be grateful for the things he said.

    He also said.........!!!! HAPPENS!;)
