Hi guys - I'm still reading but somewhat sidetracked by a couple of 'challenging' family situations - no sooner was one mercifully made a whole lot better than we expected, than another raised its menacing head. It's really nice to come on here and get a healthy dose of insanity, purple wheelbarrows, high heels etc! For some reason this is guaranteed to be good for the soul
By the way I think some of you should set up in business as travel agents, you would do superbly!
Oh, and welcome all newcomers and particular mention to the marathon [STRIKE]runners[/STRIKE] readers... I recommend ibuprofen for the headaches & eyestrain, cheaper than the branded equivalent and made of same stuff
There speaks a true [STRIKE]cheapskate[/STRIKE] moneysaver...
I hope your problems sort themselves out soon

It is a wonderful area Mike, though I used to say to my friend that lived there that she was further from a motorway than anywhere else I've encountered in the UK. I used to earmark a whole 3 hours for the journey down from London and the way I drive that is good going lol. She used to live right near the town centre in St Catherine's Rd/Drive My grandson used to love going down to see his auntie Maralyn as he called her. Loved the sticks of rock she used to buy for him lol You are truely blessed to live there.0 -

I might feel like that in a couple of weeks but up to now it's felt like the most disastrous place I've ever been! Maybe it will seem better with windows?

Afternoon all,
It's been a while but thought I would stick my ample nose in to see what was going on. My, havent we been busy bees?! Without reading the trillion posts I am getting the impression that Mike is now a superstar with a nice spangly house in the offing??
And there is even a nice new board! I had only just got my head around the other one.0 -

Looks good df all that is now needed is a legal bod to ensure that no one gets themselves into trouble from a slanderous point of view. If my idea comes off I will let the thread know. Well done Billie xx
I Like your thinking Billie!lisawaters wrote: »Just popping in quickly on my way to have a shower and hit the sack to say thanks for all the good wishes. Today was for filming some bits with the boys and me, and it was very interesting and good fun. The boys were really thrilled, and I am beginning to think - hey, this might really happen!
So excuse me for such a short message, but it's all good and we've had a great day. More news as it happens.
Glad you & your boys had fun. I think Sunday 20th June is Fathers Day?? Don't worry, we'll be out of your way by then to let you enjoy a quiet day with your family!
Trying to have a proper catch up as I go, don't know how all newbies get through this whole thread, I've only been gone a couple of days & managed to get completely lost in all the posts!

Awww bless poor git. Reminded me of the time my ex was ironing in his boxers and something plopped out and got caught by the edge of the iron....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Still makes me smile to think of it... I'm a bad girl:silenced:[/QUOTE]
Made me laugh but that's put 2 images in my head that really shouldn't be there!
I wish I'd never seen the film American Pie!lisawaters wrote: »I'm not getting my kit off.

No! Dangerous things can happen....See above!
Excited? Yes. Happy? Very. The obstacles I foresaw are not proving to be problematical to the team. They certainly were to me. I guess that's the core of the whole thing... they can sort out all your problems. I can't think of any other way of achieving so much in such a short time. I've never before felt that someone can appear and wave a magic wand and everything just happens. I guess it's what we all hope sometimes will happen.
Not sure about the magic bit but someone will appear with a scorched wand!PROUD MEMBER OF

Welcome back Red! Thanks for PM, I'll e-mail you with a summary of what you've missed!
Welcome all newcomers and :T well done for reading your way through this epic!
Niccatw......Loved the Hotel California bit, hope you're enjoying your weekend away!
Happy.......Hope your backs better honey, careful with the pill popping!
Keiss21....stop lurking & start posting!
Well done DF, Billie, Aylana, Niccatw & poosmate, keep the ideas coming guys!
Poo....Really like the ideas you had on #2973 re older culprits! Currently watching re-runs of Cowboy Builders on Fiver...Similar stories to Mikes regarding CCJ's and sherriff sent 3 times to one for assets to seize only to find everything in the WIFES name!
Lots of different company names with dodgy builders Wife as director and dodgy builders listed as secretaries?
Lots of holes to be covered to stop them wriggling free of all responsibilities!
Just curious....when all the info is given to trading standards, they're able to imprison builders who have committed criminal acts, I wondered if they ever do! ? Surely even the wives are guilty of fraud/theft?PROUD MEMBER OF

Don't know if it's worth a punt but at the moment I'd try absolutel everything,
Have you thought about maybe getting a DIY type TV programme interested in your plight.
i.e. Cowboy Builders Channel Five
Especially as it would not cost a huge amount to complete it, maybe a radio appeal as there are always people who can help and might be willing to do so.
Anything and everything is worth a tryRainbowLiberty0 -
