Moneypenny, the reveal is on the 18th June. Several of us are going down there to cheer them on and just party really!

Thanks Poosmate. Mike must be getting so excited. I wonder if they will make a film of his experiences.... Would rival Calendar Girls:p

I'm not getting my kit off.

Excited? Yes. Happy? Very. The obstacles I foresaw are not proving to be problematical to the team. They certainly were to me. I guess that's the core of the whole thing... they can sort out all your problems. I can't think of any other way of achieving so much in such a short time. I've never before felt that someone can appear and wave a magic wand and everything just happens. I guess it's what we all hope sometimes will happen.

Poo the other thread was not me but Dancing Fairy - I can't take the credit for that. However, along with lots of you want to see justice down for so many you seem to fall foul of these bogus traders. The bogus ones are also doing so much harm for the genuine guy in the trade. However, until we can get someone from the legal profession interested we have to be careful not to let the situation become slanderous etc., Also would not want any bad press for Martin if we got it wrong. Yes I have ideas up my sleeve and think that if SOS can they will bring it up but they to do need to have their facts right first. Want to fight this all the way and I know some of you are on board, but it is a case of "slowly, slowly catches monkey". To those of you lucky enough to be able to get to Littlehampton have a great time and have one for me. Billie xx:T

It's best not to just turn up as it's a construction site and closed to the public for legal reasons unless they're expected.
I hope they have reserved a space for us to park the Bigfoot while we are there, although if they haven't we can always create one ourselves ;)

  • few, have finally made it to the end of the thread! that certainly took some reading!

mike - am so pleased that things are getting sorted for you. throughout the progression of the thread, one can certainly detect an improvement and lightening of your black cloud and you no longer appear to be stuck fast at the bottom of a very long, deep, dark hole. fantastic! that, and the amazing support, generosity and kindness shown by people on this thread brings hope to us all.

no matter how black, desperate, hopeless and impossible life can seem, this thread shows that it does not have to mean.

all of you posters on this thread should feel immensely proud of what you have managed to achieve.

    :)

Thanks mrslawrence, and well done on the readathon. I'm interested that you can see a change of mood. I must go back and see. Things felt a lot less hopeful only a few weeks ago.

LOL I wrote a really really long thread with an idea on it, but then read a bit more. Seems you don't need ideas, looks like it's all coming together for you.

    Good!

well, an awful lot has happened for you in the past few weeks. but definitely, since the start of the thread, your mood does seem to have lightened. that is, of course, not to say that you're home free and back to normal service, but at least it's something.

oh, and like you with your username, mine is also slightly misleading in that i'm no longer a 'mrs', nor a 'lawrence' ;)

I have come late to this thread and have read the first part and the last part, the middle part will be read later.

Like Mike I have had identity problems on here too - people think that I am a chap when I am not despite my user name:rotfl:

I am a great believer in karma and that good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. I see DIY SOS getting involved as a turning point for Mike and hope that he will be able to set up his graphic design business again and getting back on his feet.

    Good Luck Mike.
