No no, say away! Luckily the Building Regs dept have been good in making recommendations. A sign of a good builder seems to be one who can't fit in the work until Christmas. Patience is a virtue apparently... :o

Are the DIY-SOSers doing your back garden too?

I have no idea. I doubt it! Getting the house straight is more than enough for me. I'll just have to get good at gardening.

    Oh hang on.

So long as it's nothing bigger than a hanging bas**rd.

You can't fool all of the people all of the time. So I shall retire at the top of my game. Then maybe stage a series of comebacks. Lots of categories to enter...

    Best pile of broken bricks

    Best sculpture using breezeblocks

Best use of weedkiller in a small garden

    Best display of dock weeds

Best display of dead stuff in a windowbox.

Can you beat accidently killing 4 yukka plants in less than 3 years? (I've stopped getting anymore, I figured it was probably cruel.)

What you need Mike is a lovely mauve wheelbarrow tastefully planted up with flowers. Wheel that to the middle of the devastation (sp) and you will only see that!!! :D

Just a thought. Here's another. A brick built BBQ for the reveal.

Evening all, oops sorry it's early morning now!

Just read all the pages I've missed since my last visit! Gees I can't believe I've been away for so long! I made a few comments along the way so some of them will relate to posts several pages/days ago:

Killerwatt made me cry! That is so kind of you to do the electrical work for free!

Dinky Doo (rhymes with Poo so must be fab!) Diner, on my list of places to visit!

Skintdragon, what an excellent idea about the guestbook! Maybe everyone who visits between 9th and 18th could sign it and leave their comments, it would be a fantastic momento for Mike to keep for ever!

SB, your post #2841 on page 143 is how I feel too. Maybe we can do something. We'll need to rally the troops and come up with something. We now know the power of consumer groups, the 18th June will be the end of the first book of "Please Advise - It's All Gone SO Wrong". We should start work on book two soon afterwards (when we have a plan). Count me in. (I've PM'd you)

SB, your OCD changing to CJD made me spit my coffee at the screen! Bad SB! ROFLMAO!

Niccatw, (wipes coffee off screen AGAIN!) I'm not the only one who's bought a bra that broke my ribs then? lol

Mike, I love pandas they're my favourite animal.

I've only just read my email from Christine Nisbet so must reply to her. Need to book a place to stay so any suggestions would be most welcome preferrably within walking distance from Mike's and the nearest watering hole! lol Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hope you are all doing well, congrats on getting a job Billie - you go girl!

    Best wishes to you all,

    lot's of love

Poosmate - good to see you back! Last time I saw you post, I think you were having had enough of MSE? Can't remember what thread that was on though, so I'm sure there was a reason behind it.

I'm probably going to stay in the YHA - £16/£18 per night. I know MerryWidow has booked into one of the B&Bs, not sure which one though.
