Flippin' huge birthday cakes. Chocolate, coffee, organic carrot cake and a Victoria sponge.
Now, I like cake as much as the next woman but I was kinda fed up of eating such a restricted diet after 2 weeks.

Mike, your now the third person I know who has a birthday on 22 April
.
I can't think of anything witty and clever to say to make you feel less p*ssed off. Monday blues, I'll be back on form tomorrow. Poo will come along and know the right thing to say though
.
Or, if you want a laugh, I could tell you I somehow managed to fall out of bed this morning. If I can't get to sleep (which, you will have spied, is often) I tend to swap myself around the bed - which is always confusing when I wake up. I do normally manage to figure what I need to do to get out of bed on the right side... but this morning, being a Monday, it wasn't to be and I was rudely awakend with a thud!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Sorry for barging in but I just wanted to say hello  I've been lurking here on and off but was too shy to post.
I really felt for you Mike when I read what you'd been through and it's just great to see all the support you've had from all the lovely people here.
I haven't read the thread in a while though - have I missed your TV appearance?
P.S. I'm another one who's happier single.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I have to balance the books here, we have been happily married for 36 years, and when it works it certainly is a financial bonus.
Mike - can I suggest for when you can move it forward going into the council offices and talking to your building regs inspector/planning inspector. We drew up the plans for our (minor) extension and then took them in talked to they, and adjusted where necessary, and apart from working for a building company at one time had no experience of any sort, with the right approach, they were very good.
Off to watch TV. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Mike, I've just read the first few pages of your thread and cannot believe that someone could do this to you! Jeez that is just the lowest of the low! I haven't been able to read the whole thread so could someone give me a rundown of what the situation is at the moment?
Sending you a hug and some good vibes I really really hope that this has a good ending for you xxx0 -

Your experience is probably typical, and I wouldn't wish this lot on anyone.
Are things any better for you now? Time's a great healer as we all know.

Hi and welcome.
Not sure I could read all through it either in one sitting! It's all there though and it's good to dip into now and then.
Essentially the legal stuff is on hold pending a possible involvement by someone else in going for this lowlife.
I had some money I was due so I'm solvent right now.
I can't start work on the house until Building Regs and Planning have had a chance to see what's happening.
And there's lots of other stuff involving cake, high heels and wheelbarrows.
