Still, will be lovely when it works!0 -

I don't understand it either. I've been using mine on T-mobile for 18 days, and the !!!!!!s are definitely charging me for it. Was it the same bloke who told the person with the cracked iPhone screen that they'd screwed up the 'biometric display' lol.0 -

can tmobile phone be used for skype like is allowed on 3 network. can yahoomessenger be used on tmobile. the 3gb limit looks good on tmobile but dont think i would reach that limit anyway. not really sure how much would be used on the desire as it is always connected to the net.
Web'n'walk is just the name of their unlimited internet plan. It just means that they can restrict your internet if you share files or use it as a modem. I don't know about skype, but I have read that 3 are putting it on their Desires as standard. so it must work. If you just leave the phone on, it won't use a great deal by staying connected. I've used 113mb in 18 days, but I work mainly from home so a lot of my use is via my home wifi.0 -
Hmmm...did you have to do anything to activate your sim when you got your phone, or did it just work?
I've been to three different T mobile shops today, and all have said the plans aren't active...I'm worried now!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
I've been using my Desire on T-mobile for a week and a half. It worked in the shop as soon as the SIM was inserted and it was switched on.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Same here, "no active plans" is (I imagine) just a weasel word indicating nothing, but but mystifying the customer,
I received my desire over two weeks ago and it has been working since then. I had asked for my old number to be given to the new phone and this had not been programmed into the sim card. Initially the person at T-mobile said that I would have to send the phone back.
I said that another staff member had assured me that I could keep my old number. I said that she would have made a note of this undertaking; and praise the lord, she had!! Hence a lot of scurrying around at T-mobile and my phone was activated on my old number, so it can be done!!
When it comes to active plans; it appears that HTC is busy protecting its brand image and is sending out software updates already, I can't remember whether I recceived the update link by message or email, but I definitely upgraded the software via a link which was sent to me.0 -

Surely a plan is a plan, doesn't matter what phone your SIM card is inserted into, if you have that plan, that's the plan you're using.0 -
Has anyone found a good case?0

I don't think HTC's updates and T-mobiles sudden lack of 'active plans' are connected. It seems that T-mobile are busy changing their prices upwards and removing the £10 a month plan which might be why they're saying they can't activate at the moment? As for the update from HTC, if you click HERE you can see what the update was and which version of the software you should have installed. T-mobile have a different version to the HTC generic.0 -
