when are you getting the phone? i was offered a good deal from vodafone last tue (6th) but they had no stock, they rang me yesterday and dont think they will have any more in until the 20th
Yea, the guy who called said that they would not have stock until April 20th. My O2 contract doesn't expire until May 10th so I'm okay with that personally. Thanks Brodel, just messaged them to see if I can get the same deal.
Did they respond to your e-mail or your tweet? Might have to tweet them as well but not sure how i can say what I need to in 140 characters.
Hope I can get that deal, will be over the moon.
They responded to both, but the reply on twitter was basically just asking them to email me and the email was an auto reply just letting me know that they had received my email. I think tweeting them helps as it was one of the people from their tweet site that called me. Having your PAC code ready will make things easier, I had to get mine from O2 and then get vodafone to call me back, if you have it there and then I think that they will sign you up pending credit checks etc.0 -
I just found some info about what the charge could be. In this day and age of "unlimited internet", the following seems pretty mental.
I might have to phone them up tomorrow and tell them to go stuff themselves (even though my dad probably wont use it, it takes the p***)
i am going to ask for my PAC code tomorrow for both my phone contracts with them. especially after seeing what puja says i think they are taking the !!!! with me, i have been with them for nearly 5y now i think and all this while i have had 2 phones continuously with them and they are giving me raw deal as compared to the other deals i see on here. so guess its time to move on unless they can give me an equally good deal. might move back to vodafone with whom i was prev with for a few years before i moved to 3 with both the phones.
does any other network give 3gb limit like Tmobile like some suggest they give.
does anyone know if MSE forums have any official 3 network reps like the vodafone reps on here?bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

I think you will find that 3 offer the best deals when someone from their special department phones you and for that you have to either request your pac or give in your notice to end your contract. When I phoned to ask for my pac, the deals I offered were ridiculous in comparison to what I have got now. So request your pac and await their call!0 -

It's 3gb for Android phones only on T-mobile.
Pay monthly plans which include internet on your phone on an Android phone: "You'll need internet coverage, check it at t-mobile.co.uk/streetcheck. Remember that you can only use your internet on your phone Booster in the UK and you can't use your phone as a modem or use web'n'walk Plus for peer to peer file sharing, or making internet phone calls. *Internet on your phone comes with a fair use policy of 3GB a month. We'll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our internet on your customers. If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won't charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use your plan, depending on how often you go over your amount and by how much."0 -
My phone has been dispatched....means i should have it for the weekend!!Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0

Phoned again to have a little battle with 3 customer options. I settled for this in the end:
Mix and Match 300 (300 voice minutes, + 300 3-to-3 minutes)
Add Text 1,000 Add-On
Internet Max Add-On
18 Month minimum term
£20/month.
Handset fee negotiated down to £125
Total payable over the term: £485
Compared to sticking on SIM £15 and buying SIM free/PAYG: £620
Not bad. I'm happy with that. Others have done better, but despite being a customer for 6-7 years, they don't make a great deal of money out of me
Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

500mb is alot mind but it depends how long and how often you would be on 3g, there is a calculator on vodas site that tells you how much websites etc you can look at for 500mb data
There is also an app you can download called NetCounter which is free and shows how many mb you are using daily, weekly, monthly etc...0 -
i called today and think i got through to their customer options team although later one chap said retentions team was the same! but the deal they offered initially was worse than the prev one they offered yesterday. today intially the person offered 750 xnet mins 1gb internet 3-3 300mins zero handset cost 35£/m 24m contract so in effect 630£ net cost for 24m contract for 750mins! this is costlier than the deal available on tmobile for new customers and also which is a lot costlier than what was offered yesterday, when i pointed that out that this was costlier than their earlier offer, he reverted back to that offer as yesterday 1100xnet mins, 3-3 300mins, 1gb internet 18m contract handset cost 150£ net cost £510 for 18m. looks like they might not be able to guarantee delivery by 20th anyway as i was informed today.I think you will find that 3 offer the best deals when someone from their special department phones you and for that you have to either request your pac or give in your notice to end your contract. When I phoned to ask for my pac, the deals I offered were ridiculous in comparison to what I have got now. So request your pac and await their call!
since i wasnt getting anywhere with them i asked for the PAC for both my phones (same price plan) got the PAC by txt message in a few mins.
just looking around for good deals with other networks or move to tmobile and get 3gb allowance. will again check out vodafone as was with them prev and network was better than what i am experiencing with 3 anyway.
vodafone has their sure signal (femtocel) device for getting better signal at home and orange has got their UMA tech for better signal at home. as far as i know 3 doesnt have any such tech for getting better signal as many times i keep getting emergency calls only on both my phones whether at home or at work. dont know if tmobile has any software or hardware for improving singal at home like vodafone and orange.
PAC is valid for a month as i was told but dont want to waste much time behind this and want to take a good deal if i see one. got annoyed with 3 as they were giving me worse deals than others even though they said i was rated a premium customer on both phones i hold with them and have always paid all my bills by direct debit and had 2 phones with them for many years with 1100mix and match on each phone presentlybubblesmoney :hello:0 -
what do you mean by web'n'walk? i have never used peer 2 peer file share anyway and dont plan to do it either.maxtweenie wrote: »It's 3gb for Android phones only on T-mobile.

can tmobile phone be used for skype like is allowed on 3 network. can yahoomessenger be used on tmobile. the 3gb limit looks good on tmobile but dont think i would reach that limit anyway. not really sure how much would be used on the desire as it is always connected to the net.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
I received mine today...its gorgeous. It doesn't work, though, apparantly T Mobile have no active Desire plans and it won't be activated for a while. The man in the T Mobile shop couldn't believe I'd got them, and almost wanted to take them off me.
Still, will be lovely when it works!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0
