Three new 'nanna-knitted' jumpers for my little boy for as part of his Easter present...love to dress him in hand knits. Nan was also making some big 'shopper bags' out of some remnants of material that she had and she let me pick one out. Picked a lovely one with a 'funky dog' pattern on it, perfect for my Uni books.

Good o/s day today thanks to my Nan!

Actually I have currently, sitting in a pot on my dresser, the sum of 44p found on the pavements and said caravan!! My aim is to keep all such finds for a year and see how much I collect. I only started in January so you never know I might have a right old spend up in December.
I do this every year and keep all found money in a pot. Last year it amounted to £8.88. I give it to charity, in this case to the Haiti earthquake, last year to NSPCC.

Given away more bits on freecycle/freegle. Space for me, free stuff for them, nothing going on landfill. It's a win, win.

:) Been to Mums, she is my personal shopper, came home with bags of useful stuff. Sil's old magazines to spend a happy hour reading, bag of wool, and best of all my easter present - gardening shoes. Dd got a new bed sheet for easter off her and a pair of tiny ugg style boots for grandson to be. In return I sowed up her knitting and took her a bag of cakes as shop bought are useless to a single person unless u can eat 6 cakes at once:p
Clearing the junk to travel light
    Saving every single penny.
    I will get my caravan

I love freecycle. I offered yesterday an unwanted ice cream maker, an unwanted and unused gift to one of my sons, and a tv, having recently replaced it with a new slimline one. Hopefully they will be collected later today.

I have had lots of lovely things from freecycle myself over the last year: home brewing equipment; toys and books for my grandchildren and baby equipment such as high chair, travel cot, cot mobile, baby bath etc.

I had a great find yesterday. I bought a solid oak sideboard 62 ins wide for £250 + delivery (had been bought for £999). It will fit the alcove in my sitting room beautifully and I can get all my dvd's etc inside and it looks lovely.
