    Our local Greek does delish broad bean falafels, sorry no recipe but if you do them send me a batch!

    Make a bean chilli? It freezes really well. It can then also be used as a baked potato topping, toast topper, pizza topping (see the index!), even a spicy pie filling!!

  • In greece in the summer they serves broad bean pate - garlic olive oil and broad beans roughtly mashed. Served on toasted pitta - yummy yummy

    It's looking like a Greek feast for you then, on the plus side you can save on the washng up by smashing your plates afterwards!

    The Greek Gigantic Beans recpe is usually made with butter beans, but I think that it would work with broad beans as well

    Looks like we are heavy on Greek dishes - just as well I have perfected my pitta bread recipes.

    Will run some of these past the kids in the morning - liking the falafel idea though.

    If you google Ful Medames, you'll find loads of Egyptian recipes;although officially, you're supposed to use fava beans, I've noticed a couple of recipes say you can substitute broad beans. Hugh Fernley Wossisname was making broad bean hummus the other night.

    I think broad beans are fava beans? I'm looking for beany recipes as I bought several large tins from AF, very pleased with them all so far, freezing them in portions as I open the tins; I'm loving these greek ideas :T
