Goodness, that was a little rude.IWantToBeFree wrote: »How does muscle weigh more than fat? Why do people insist on saying such things when its one of the most stupid statements ever.
1lb of muscle has a smaller volume than 1lb of fat - but certainly doesn't weigh more.
Couldn't you perhaps have explained politely that the statement wasn't entirely accurate, and suggested a way to correct it, rather than trying to belittle her and make her look foolish?
If you took the same volume of muscle and fat, would the muscle not weigh more?
So whilst her statement may not have been completely correct, and could have done with 'by volume' adding, to make it absolutely clear, it's certainly not 'one of the most stupid statements ever', considering most people understood her to mean this in any case."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
