I am having great difficulty working out how Santander manage their accounts - I have three different balances showing on my account, none of which tally with my spreadsheet!
And I HATE that they don't show DD's due tomorrow like Absurd&Ludicrous used to (need to be careful, I nearly complemented them!)LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Must admit, I've found it difficult to get used to A&L's setup since The Big Switch: I find that getting into the account is more complicated than HSBC, and a few days ago I paid some money directly from my account to my CC and it's taking FOUR days to get there: I've never had an online transaction take so long in my life! :eek:Please call me 'Pickle'

Morning
Pickle - I too am having great difficulty in understanding why some payments take longer - plus Santander are not part of the faster payments scheme apparently.
So back to work this morning - God knows what chaos I am walking in to................
Another payment - the biggie - that lets me pay the biggest bill, sadly only £250 comes of debt but it is still something.
Hope you all have a great day!

Just as we thought the Absurd & Ludicrous saga was coming to an end... access to A & L finally restored, but had applied to first direct 24 Aug, text message received 31 Aug, 1 Sep all set up! However, husbands salary not gone into A & L as usual so unexpectedly overdrawn yesterday. Will not be paying charges, their fault for chanhing account numbers "you don't need to do anything" blah blah blah b*****cks
Good luck with ebay, I've only ever browsed briefly, might pick your brain for advice later and see what we can sell.0 -
well done for the ebaying, my hat is once again off to you.
bah humbug to the thin pastry, maybe the cost should be docked from BIL's wages.... harsh moi????0 -
Still can't work out how A&L work! Three diff balances showing tonight too and I have no idea what this £11 is for.
LT - Trust me I wish I could dock his wages - just call me Bob Cratchit!

Hi.
I am having the same issues with Abbey- now Santander. I always seem to have 10 or 20 pound astray that I cant account for. Then it turns up again mysteriously. Last week it was £75  that I couldnt balance for 2 days. Then a transaction wend through and the balance went back to what I expected it to be. Wrote about it on my diary because I thought that I was losing the plot. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
