DH just back from shop, he did more with £10 than I could to do so 10 out of 10 for him!
Most importantly he brought me 20p change so bag closed and 'hidden' - £14 for Xmas done!
I think I am going to start buying gifts because otherwise another use will be found for the savings and I will have a panic at Xmas. Plus I have 4 family bdays before Xmas including my brothers' 40th!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

I have same as you Woo and two neices, a BIL and brothers' g/f but we have limit of £20 per person! (so from DH and I thats £40)
We also have 3 neices and their 3 children to buy for - have tried to end that but to no avail.
We also exchange 'tokens' with SIL and BIL
The rest I stopped buying for!
And of course, there is the secret santa in work
Does it ever end???LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

I'm lucky that I don't have to buy for any nieces, just 2 Godchildren and a couple of friends, have a budget of £250 and I'm not spending a penny more this year, in fact I would rather get it down to £200!

It is a pain, but also good fun seeing what you get. Last year I got a pair of pink babies wellies and a farmyard 'cut and stick' book.................thats because my colleagues tease me because I live in the sticks!!!
Every year I end up spending more on everyone because a) I get carried away and b) I panic. My neice, 12, loves 'lots of little small things' and by God they add up. I need to get onto freebies and start collecting some bits for her.
I am most concerned about brothers' 40th - I have no idea what to get him. I asked yesterday and he said 'get me a new window' He wants to replace his windows and thinks we could all buy him a window each. Great MS idea but what a crap 40th b/day pressie!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
