WHAT?????? well that kind of makes sense as the amounts that are missing are usually about double what I have accounted for. That still doesnt explain the £75 though. However What right do they have to do that. Abbey never did that!!!!!! I am SO sick of financial institutions thinking that they have the right to do anything they want to with my HARD EARNED money.
Sorry Red, rant over but I feel a customer service letter coming on and the question "under which banking regulation or piece of legislation do you operate this practice under?"Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Oh, a sumptuos Saturday: I like that!
Unfortunately, I'm working 3-8 so there's little chance of that, but I'll have to have a semi-sumptuous morning!
Y'know, this whole thing about card charges taking absolutely ages to come through strikes a cord with me, too: I had exactly the same with HSBC, and I've not found A&L to be as bad (yet!), but they took FOUR DAYS to send a payment to my CC, which is with another bank.*
*I think I may have mentioned that above, but I'm still cross!I shall have to revert to my old, infinitely quicker method of transfering money to my HSBC account (a matter of hours during the business day), to then paying from my HSBC account to the CC (overnight).
Ah well, you live and learn. At least it wasn't on a time limit. Please call me 'Pickle'
