Oh I think we DO know how much it means to be able to get support here, because we ALL benefit from it one way or another.

I know that I would not be in the position I am in without the support and ideas of the people on this site. It has been invaluable to me over the last 4 years and will continue to be as I go forward.

Keep on posting, and people will keep on supporting - as simple as that. And in return, you will be supporting others, who may also otherwise feel that they are the only one who faces this nightmare.

Your post has made me cry as well now Red lol!

I honestly think I would have given up if it wasn't for everyone on here being in the same boat, just knowing your not alone sees you through the night time worries and goes someway to helping you feel less of a failure.

None of my friends get it, they don't understand how much it matters when you miss your goal by £15 or whatever, but to us this is our life for now.

I don't think I could bare to pay full price for anything again, even when I do have money.

My dad has always been very bad with money management and my mum has always had to try to hard to make it all balance (and then Dad would appear with yet another debt, for no reason other than he just didn't manage his money at all well). To the outside world, they appear to be 'comfortable'.

My mum, who knows a bit of my story, keeps telling me how she wished she had learned the stuff on 'St. Martins' site before now and that when we are sitting with no debt she will be so proud because we have achieved something she never could - bless

I don't know what happened to me, everyone else in my family is really good with money. I think it is just down to the fact that I have no patience and therefore never saved for anything just whacked it on the credit card. It started when I was 18 and spiralled from there.

18 is far too young to be given credit I think!

Pretty much the same with me Woo - I have always 'overspent' and stuck my head in the sand, except when I was a student - I had no money and lived within my means but as soon as the credit came - off I went.

    DH was exactly the same.

The sickening thing is that without debt we would be quite comfortable!

I'll join you for a glass, my favourite tipple!

Some of my Lloyds Credit Card debt is from me buying champagne to drink on girls night out!

Big pat on the back for your OH!

LOL @ buying champagne on night out - very posh!

I kept the cork from the bottle last night as a reminder!

Hopefully I won't have one of those again (for a long time)
