    Thank you sweet cheeks!

I too was happy that chqs arrived and even better, I resisted the temptation to pay a bill. Instead I worked out how to cover upcoming bills.......so we are now safe for the next few dd's from personal account.

Muddling on, thats just what we do, isn't it!

Just found this - what a great idea, as I try to carry this info around in my head

Courtesy of 'desperatehousewife' - keep a note book (or address book for a-z) and keep a record of what is the best price for everything from olive oil to beef mince (per lb) and toiletries etc so you know when something is a good deal or not. for example, the 99p/£1 store may not always be the cheapest.

Great idea for us Lidl/Aldi glamour girls, as often I just assume they are cheapest!

Ha! Just like assuming that the bottle of Flash in the pound shop is cheapest, even when a considerably bigger bottle is only 20p or so more in another shop! ;)

We've all been there, but it's learning from our mistakes that sorts the real bargain shoppers from the rest! :D

    Hi RMC
Sorry to hear about the cheque situation, that is such a shame. Glad you got some money in, and positive vibes that you get some more today and tomorrow! Well done on checking where the £800 needed to be spent rather than paying them who shout loudest!

I understand your OH thinking the more business we do the better we will be. Thing is you have hit the nail on the head with growing to fast. You can't afford to expand the bakery, he can't work many more hours, and if you hired another person, then that eats into your profits!

I would say you are still in the settling down period. it has got better. You of all people (seeing as you are reading the epics that are Hynpnos diaries *bows to hypno*) know that you do get these blips, and that they get further apart over time. It took you a long time of coasting and robbing peter to pay paul to get you into this debt, and it will take you a hopefully less long time, to get all of the cogs in place, so that the debt repaying runs smoothly. But you WILL get there.

I would also like to say thanks to all the posters in diary land and in DFW. I haven't had much success making friends over here, so am glad to have someone to chat to as well, even if it isn't about debt very often.
