The 'No More Buying DVDs Until I Have Watched the Ones I Already Own' Thread

OK so this year I made a really poor attempt to watch all of my unwatched dvds so I will start again fresh next year. I'm going to aim to watch 26 unwatched dvds (1 per fortnight).

I will try and have a count up of all my unwatched ones. I have recently put most of my disks in a folder and the boxes in the loft which has cleared a massive amount of space and has also made it easier to look through what I've got - though a worrying amount of films had to be taken out of their wrapping! :eek:

I didn't get many dvds for Christmas though so at least not many have been added. I got the Worricker trilogy which I heard great reviews of and Castle S6 which will be one to keep anyway. I won't see my parents until the weekend so there may be a couple more but it shouldn't add too many to the list!

Maybe the trick is to write them all down and tick them off - feels like you're getting somewhere then.

Hi everyone. This is my plan for 2015. I have a pretty decent collection of DVDs but can't remember the last time I actually watched one. I only watch films when they are on tv. (I always get really excited when I see things like Harry Potter are on tv, despite me having them on DVD, so I could watch them anytime I wanted). So my plan is to work my way through my entire DVD collection and then try to sell as many as I can bear to part with (which will hopefully be most of them). Will keep you updated on my progress.

Happy new year! I got a 4 DVD box set of TV show Love/Hate over the holidays and I watched one of them yesterday. It is a FABULOUS show: watch it if you can!

Before moving house i got rid of several DVDs so I've got 38 left that I've never watched. Sounds better than 50+ at the moment working our way through OHs Buffy DVDs so won't be watching my own until next week when he's away with work

I was a bit naughty and bought mor DVDs when I went a trip into Leeds. However I have already watched one of them - Glee Season 5 while OH was away last week and also watched The Fault in Our Stars on Saturday night which made me cry...not that I'd expected it to be a barrel of laughs having read the book. It was a very good interpretation of the book. I think the author had a lot of input.

I have finally watched a dvd! I am watching the Marvel films in order and today was The Incredible Hulk which I had to unwrap - oops! I did see it at the cinema but I've clearly never watched the dvd.
I am also about half way thru Castle s5 which I bought at Christmas - already better than last year!

I must admit that I couldn't resist 2 dvds in a charity shop but both will go to DD1 as they are on her wish list. I'll watch them during the weekend as we are out of heating oil because the delivery driver was ill with the flu so it's early bedtime for me
The movies are The Grand Budapest Hoteland Analyze This, looking forward to both.

I watched The Pact on Saturday while doing some work. It was ok. But not a patch on the book. It's going on the charity shop pile in the garage!

I managed to watch a few dvds which will now go into CS bag.

Russel Howard "Live", Eddie Izzard "Circle", "Without a Clue" with Michael Caine as Sherlock Holmes and "Letter to Breznev", which I will keep for now as it brings back memories
