there is nothing What so ever straightforward about ELs thread !!!!! i think if you read it thru carefully cutting and pasting, you will have an exact set of instructions as to how to take your landlady to court - this will take some time !

Hi Odds & Sods thanks for your post but this ain't gonna be easy and she won't lay down without a fight I am sure - but we can hope! You are still at the infancy of your case - and I hope it won't turn into a case... Good luck with your situation though - will drop by your post!

Anyone have ideas re how I should present info to the judge:confused:? Have to drop it down to the court tomorrow.

    Hi EagerLearner

Been following this your case since we chatted before! Gosh its gone on but hopefully soon coming to an end!

Anyway my OH suggest putting it all in an A4 folder with a index at the front and labelling each page with a number on it, so it is easy for the judge and yourself to refer to when it comes to the day.

    good luck
    Sam

It's more straighforward about the fact that she should get the money back; mine isn't , as you've pointed out, clutton.

I actually read this through in 1 night; my OH thought I had fallen off the face of the earth! LOL

MY landlords tends to be passive in person, then goes home and says something 180' different in an email. Very frustrating.

Hi all, we finished the court's pack earlier today - each numbered page is in a pvc punched wallet of its' own. The important docs like inventory etc, have been hole punched but are not in pvc wallet for easy access.

    At the front we had:

Letter to court saying docs enclosed
    Witness Statement
Schedule of Events and supporting documents

Each item in supporting documents is numbered. Where the item, say number 32, has something attached, we called the extra page 32a. For example 32 being a fax, 32a being a proof of faxing.

Thanks Saver Sam - you've pulled your poor OH into this saga too eh :D

Odds & Sods - outr ex ll was lik ethat too, she always was sweet as pie in person so she could get what she wanted out of us, then was completely different on phone or text, or hid behind the letting agents. At elast you have access to your LL though, so it's a blessing!

To update y'all re my business, I now have 3 clients and I work an average of 4 or 5 days a week! I also now have a new client who wants to meet me at 11am tomorrow, a motivational speaker who travels alot and needs someone to support him - if he's ok and wants me to work with him I will prob het a few more hours work a week :T

    How's it all going?
I bet evil LL has a fit when she sees all the paperwork you're submitting and regretting the day she ever messed with you.

15 days - hopefully not too long now to go.

Hi DancingFairy - congrats on finishing your exams!

EDIT > Checked Royal Mail website and they left a card so she has not yet seen the package. Will check again today around 7pm.

If the package is returned to yourself, the website should indicate this which means the LL will be quizzed about not collecting it :)

Good luck El. As I recall, the LL suggested that you and she have a discussion about the return of the deposit. What was the outcome of that?

Have an answer ready for that question. I would expect that it will enter into the case somewhere.
