Please help re flat deposit

Hey littlesaint & Sybarite - thanks for your answers - yeah the deposit should always be treated as the tenants money re the interest earned, but it never is! Hey ho... maybe we will be lucky enough to have a landlord like RobertF next time round!

Yes, we were hardly ready to move again and now in the next 4-6 weeks ahve to find a new place, then give our landlord 1 month notice. Annoying as he was the one who said he wanted long term tenants, but nothing we can do now.

Nothing in the post from court, maybe tomorrow or Thurs morning we will know more.

I hope that you get your deposit back after this move!!
perhaps you could direct your current landlord to this thread, so s/he knows you are not to be messed with.:D

EL you are a great example to the rest of us for not giving in or backing down, but for persuing what is rightfully yours. You have the patience of a saint lol.

I'll be checking this post as often as possible from now on as I cant wait to read the final installment in which you and MrEL walk off from court richer and the landlady from hell gets what she deserves!!!

Hi EL, Read most of this thread last week instead of going to a dance class! Was gutted to find there wasn't an ending. Am considering 'doing' Martin under the trades description act 'cos his link definitely gives the impression that an outcome has been achieved ;-)

Just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow. I hope the evil LL doesn't get her papers in on time. The laws of natural justice say you must win this but the real question is when. A huge online party is waiting in the wings to celebrate with you.

I spent far too long a while back reading all the way to page 52 and have been lurking ever since, but I thought as Clutton was asking how many of us have posted on this one thread, I'd better add something.
