(can't resist... must not...) Well hey there BigBoy! :D;)

Thanks for your support - I was going to post today anyway to say that as of yet no news. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

The longer she takes means either a) she's loads of 'evidence' and is taking a long time to compile her defence with 'witnesses' being hastily rounded up, or b) she has no defence and is wondering if it's all worthwhile and c) she only wanted to get the mortgage application done and is waiting for the CCJ to dissapear off her record....

wont she have to give you a copy of all her defence documents? how likely is that....
  • good grief... I can't wait for the outcome of all this someone should write a book.......

It does indeed seem to be a habit of landlords AND letting agents not paying up, glad to see there are some good ones on here though!!...some landlords are so much hassle!!!

Scarpetta you clearly have multiple issues with your tenancy and legitimate cause for concern and redress - in view of the complexity I'd suggest you attend your local MP's surgery. He/she will draft letter's on your behalf and certainly contact the housing benefit agency on outlining your situation - it's what they're there for.
I do hope you're telling the truth?

    Hi all,

Managed to call court - they say she has until the end of 31st January (next Weds) to present defence/documents etc. Again it's either that she's taking ages collecting all the mountains of evidence, or she's not planning to do anything. I really hope that if it's the latter we can get the CCJ back onto her real address, not the c/o one she was so insistent on.

If we receive nothing in the interim, I will call the court again on 1st February to see what's what.

Thanks to all the additonal supporters - Browolf and Maidenover, Bekc and others - the more the merrier on here and do pipe up with any thoughts or comments you may have. I do hope this thread inspires you to stick to your guns - so far we have not won, but we have been a thorn and she has spent £65 to date, plus attended court. Who knows what the next 3 weeks will bring.

Good luck Scarpetta - just wondering are you a Patricia Cornwell fan by any chance... I am!
