DH finished our bedroom yesterday - so 3 rooms done so far!

I got a phone call from the hospital yesterday afternoon saying DD`s operation had to be cancelled for 3rd August and instead could we go in on Monday!!!!! SO tomorrow we are going for her pre admission and Monday she will be having her tonsilectomy.

I am so nervous she is completely oblivious and don`t understand at all. I have tried to explain but to no avail.
Anyway i treated her to 2 dvds which i will give her after the operation to cheer her up - one is what she asked for, for her birthday but i couldnt get it then.

Feeling quite stressed if i`m honest. She breaks up from school on Friday and i was preparing for August giving us a bit of a break prior to the big day now it is right upon us! At least she has the full 6 weeks to recover and feel 100%.

Got her school report which was great. So proud of her!!

Today went well at the hospital and everything was explained very well and all seems to be quite positive.
DD seems ok, she has a better understanding now and isnt scared which is fantastic.

Need to get her a pair of slippers and a dressing gown at the weekend as hers are too small:eek: and they are a must on the childrens ward! Funny i was going to get her one the other month and didnt as they didnt have her size.

Its her last day at school tomorrow which is a shock i can`t believe she will be a yr1 pupil in September!

I am doing well with the savings so far, and very impressed with myself :) I havent even been tempted to dip into it!:T

Well DD had her OP on Monday morning.
Was a very traumatic day though as she did have a post op complication which only affects 1% of patients who have the op!!!
She is home with us and not too bad - I think she is actually traumatised which is a horrible thought and i`m hoping the memory of Monday will fade quickly from her mind!

ANYWAY....my savings have stayed put not had anything to put in as yet, i have a few things to go on ebay so hoping they do sell. Will sort them out once DD is fully recovered and i have the time to sort them out properly.
Must get to the bank aswell to put my savings in as i`m worried about having them in the house - still being moved around in the most bizarre places haha!

DD is fine, she is playing and eating and drinking and has not mentioned the hospital events or anything!
She did however wake up twice in the night with bad dreams and wouldnt tell me about them. Then this lunch time she told me it was about little people who were walking down a path and scaring her - so not hospital related *phew!*

I need to sort out some special days out that are `free/cheap`
    My plan is
-A picnic over the fields/lake there is a lovely park there too!
-A trip to another park further away where you can feed wild squirrels £ a bag of monkey nuts! Park and loads ofrunning around space, Plus its a bus trip - my 2 are not used to buses so they love that!
-Hoping to visit Clacton for the day in August to see my godmother who recently moved there.
-MAYBE peppa pig land too - will see what happens.
-DD wants to see Buckingham palace too so i may try and get there sometime over the next few weeks!

Just for a bit of fun i asked DH what he would do if in 5 yrs time we had 5k hanging around doing nothing - his reply = I`d go shopping!!!
SO annoyed his rubbish isnt he?:rotfl:

I am wondering how long/how much to secretly save. Maybe i should do it until we are old and retired :D

My DD suffered a massive haemorrage saturday morning and came home yesterday afternoon - won`t go into detail!
It was horrific but fingers crossed all is fine now and she is getting better!!

I have so much to do but 2 hrs sleep in 72hrs just don`t give you the motivation to get cracking SO dvd`s and cuddles will have to do :D

DS has his ENT appointment on Thursday - Now dreading it!

I was just looking at passport prices, for us 4 (never had passports before) £253!!

I am looking at Disneyland Paris for next year, BUT it is SO expensive :(
Maybe i will wait a few more years and just save for it in advance.

Even Butlins is well overpriced, a 3 night self catering £500

I would like to start going abroad, i have never been nor has DH. I want the children to experience being abroad and enjoting different countries.

It was the most horrifying moment in my life and i will NEVER forget what happened :(
I lost 6 lb in weight in 4 days - put half back on now though lol!:rotfl:
She is fine, she has to be indoors and not mixing with people for 2 weeks and she is so bored :(
She is wearing out my dvd player!! My ex sister in law leant me some kiddie dvds - we have none!
And my niece has leant DD her DS so thats keeping her occupied inbetween arts and crafts, eating and generally feeling very grumpy.

DS has been put on the emergency waiting list for his tonsillectomy and i`m so worried. Been told it is rare what happened to DD and she was very unlucky!

DD is deperate to go to DLP. I was looking at 3 nights and that was making me
It looks good and sounds good, just not sure we can save that much for a short break :(
