Hello
DD`s furniture came not without a big drama though of course haha!
The bedside came and was find i put it together and that was lovely. Opened the desk and chair and the chair was smashed SO rang up and they collected it and sent me another 3 days later.

The bed! The bed went to the wrong address (went to my in laws) so they sent it back to the depot and called to say it would come to us the following day. Part came the following day, another bit the next day and the wooden slats the day after LOL!
THEN the mattress went to my in laws the following day......SO back to the depot, call to say sorry it will come to you on Tues (due to wedding and bank holiday Monday!) Tuesday came and no mattress, weds i stayed in no mattress THEN a call from MIL to say it had gone there again hahaha! Anyway it eventually came on the Thursday and all was fine it was perfect no issues at all. Her room is now finished all but a wardrobe which my mum is buyiny.

DD and DS have both had birthdays and they enjoyed it (despite having not many presents) they had a wonderful time. We had a tea party at home and it was nice to have family together.

Got to go will continue a bit later......

DS has been poor;y since last Thursday hence me having to stop typing and run LOL! His had sickness and seems to have a cold with it now aswell. His not as bad as he was so fingers crossed it is going!!

DH did the bootsale was a hot day and a good turn out and he brought home £140 which was brilliant!
He brought some bits back that he hadn`t sold so we will no doubt do another when we have more stuff.

Butlins (skegness) is just over 2 weeks away SO looking forward to getting away and having some sea air!
DH worked all over the holidays including the royal wedding and the bank holiday Mondays before and after, plus 5 saturdays so we will have a little more in the wage packet (- taxman dipping into it) which will be lovely as we have MOT and bills. Over time is so hard to get at his work and he never gets it so was amazing when he was told he had got it and ALL of the holidays!! Someone was looking over us.

Well MOT has been booked. The car needs brakes so DH is buying the pads thats £15 + £10 to fit them - fingers crossed the car passes the MOT as we just won`t beable to get anything fixed if its not right in any way!!!

We have been told it is going to cost £100 in petrol to get to and from Skegness :-0 BUT we should be OK, will mean NO spending money at all though.

One of the mums at the school has asked to take DD to legoland for the day in the week off, i said yes then panicked about cost BUT it seems she is paying fully :-0
She only went there last weekend for the whole weekend and i was saying how i couldnt ever afford to do that, so she knows i can`t help out finacially so i will double check just incase and if she does need money i will have to say thanks for the offer but i can`t at this time. I am however hoping i can contribute something even if it is just entrance fee or at least lunch/dinner albeit late as i just have no money at all up to end of June.
I don`t want to say NO! DD has been asking to go for a long time, we won`t be able to take her anytime soon so it may well be her one and only chance of going.

Everything revolves around money......SOME things are free but wherever i seem to turn in life money is needed or involved.

Some mum down at the school hit our car on Friday
DH went to pick DD up and said he had parked infront of a 4x4! When her got back he found a dent in the back (up high) and no 4x4!
He managed to knowck the dent out with the help of our next door neighbour and luckily no scratch or mark is there, just a dent which luckily hadnt damaged the paintwork.
My heart sunk when he came home ranting someone had hit the car.....thank god it was only minor.

Butlins is 12days away and i can`t wait! Really need to get away and do nothing in our normal routine, can`t wait to hit the beach either i love the sea.

Work commences in the house this week, cracks being filled, new bedroom window and ceilings being sorted out (can see nail heads!!). Once these are done we can start to decorate. A year of magnolia has driven me mad AND it is so grubby, finger prints everywhere!!!
Luckily we have the paints and our bedroom wallpaper so we can do the bedrooms

See this is what i mean i have been positive and have been really looking forward to getting away and enjoying our break away then THUD........DH comes home today to announce he got paid today BUT didnt get none of the overtime he done as that apparently comes in NEXT months wages
He thought some of it would be in THIS months!!!
It don`t look as if we will even have the petrol money!!!!!!!

I have 3 bills i need to pay, one is red and i`ve been charged £10 for being late!! - can`t pay it as DH was supposed to be paying for them and he just can`t this month as he is short!
Major bills have been paid and now we are back to £0 until NEXT month mainly because he has MOT and brakes need doing!!!

I am really worried now as this break was paid for by the in laws and IF we don`t go they will go Mad!! Off to have a think!

MOT this afternoon and we got a PASS!!!! ONE relief and less worry!!
Poor DH has been so poorly since weds with tonsilitis, his got antibiotics but is being sick and has a bad fever

NOW i just have 3 bills to pay and petrol money to find for Friday......

Ah Sj - so sorry things aren't going well - have you anything you could ebay? Maybe if you explain to your parents they would lend you the overtime money till DH gets it next month - def a thought as you certainly deserve a holiday. I have been fed up last week about money, as tax credits not sorted, they are also basing our money on last years wages even though DH has been told he will have to take a paycut:mad:

I have hinted slightly but so far they havent offered i always feel bad as they help us out so much, BUT mum is doing me a food shop tomorrow for the holiday so at least we will have food to take (we are going self catering!)
TBH last year we went to butlins and had no money just the food we took etc and we managed fine, there was no extras we needed or wanted.
Mum has said she will give the children spending money so at least they can buy a little something.

It has got worse this weekend.......DH IS better - lovely!
DS has not long come back from A&E walk in centre with severe tonsilitis and is now on antibiotics for 7 days!!
Poor little mite had a temperature of 39.9 and when i checked him his tonsils were up and his ear was red and he was rubbing it! He seems much brighter now the fever has come down a little and is asleep for now so fingers crossed he don`t worsen and the antibiotics kick in!

DD is off to legoland tomorrow morning with a school friend and her family, feeling a little awful as i have no money to give to her for spending money. Just hope she don`t spot something she wants LOL! I am lucky she isnt a wanter so she should be OK.
I rang the mum this afternoon to check she don`t need any money for admission etc and she said no its fine. She knows our situation so i hope she isn`t just saying no!
WHEN we have a spare bit of money i will get her some flowers and a bottle of wine for her generosity.

Pinky the tax credits is really silly, how on earth can they base it on last years when you already know this yr is worse?! Its a complete sham.
Its the same with us DH will get less then the previous yr as always, but they still go by previous wage.
Personally i think the child benefit needs to go up and the tax credits need to be changed, my child benefit is now being used for school uniforms and school trips etc and i`m using food shop money for nappies and clothes when needed.
DS is starting to be potty trained and is doing well BUT his still in nappies when we go out and in bed.

On a positive note mum took me shopping yesterday and has bought both children sandals for the holiday (they only had trainers) and she also bought them new pj`s and bucket and spades
She also has booked me in to have my hair cut on Thursday which is excellent - its not been cut for just over a year now and is in terrible condition.

What a GOOD day....................

This morning DD went off at 8am to Legoland with her friend and her family.

Mum and dad came over and mum announced that she and dad are giving us spending money for butlins!!!
I refused and said no thank you we are fine and mum got all emotional saying she couldnt not give us anything and couldnt bear us being there with no money like last year!!

DH came home from work early and had £20 in tips SO he paid 2 of my bills (the 3rd i have paid using a bit of my over draft - naughty naighty). :rotfl:

I found a wardrobe that is £100 cheaper then anywhere else and emailed the lady last night, and she today has emailed back and has said she will reserve one for me for September SO happy and excited!! I have been waiting for this day and it has finally come woohoo!! SO i have 4 months of putting so much aside (easily done using ebay/paypal) and i will have my longed for wardrobe!!:j

Last week my hubby had a bad experience in B&Q and after i made a complaint the manager via email he emailed me back saying he would give us a £20 gift card to spend in the store and to ask for him when next visiting.
SO DH has gone down there this afternoon to claim it and the manager comes out and apologises about what happened and gives him a £50 gift card!!!!!!!!:eek::T:j
SO DH rang me to tell me and we chose to get the paint for ALL the ceilings and some rollers, and paint brushes THIS now means we can get on and decorate as we have the room paints and bedroom wallpaper already

A very lucky day and i`m VERY grateful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah see - look at you all positive again - I am a big believer in good things happening to good people. What a lovely family you have too. Enjoy the break I can't think of anyone else more deserving ! xxx

Aww thank you Pinky!! So weet of you to say that brings tears to my eyes.
DD had a brilliant time yesterday, she didnt get home til gone 9pm and went straight to bed. She got up at 9.30 this morning!!!! She really enjoyed herslef and was a very good girl - so proud of her!
DS is 100% better already - antibiotics kicked in well and truely!
I packed everything this morning for butlins and am really ready now for our lil holiday now, bagged up the food etc and so thats all ready for when we leave Friday morning! The weather is set to be good so its going to be great, i wouldnt care if the weather was bad it will still be great to get away.

I am getting my hair cut and styled tomorrow lunchtime and am really looking forward to it. Going to walk down to my parents with the 2 children as DH is at work burn some caleries off
I will do my nails and make sure i`m looking all fresh, been a while haha!

DH came home today saying he has a slow puncture in one of his tyres....i started to panic only to be told not to worry its being repaired this afternoon and it isnt going to cost anything as he got a tip from work which will cover it BONUS!!

SO thats our 3 pieces of good luck and yet again everything sorts itself out in the end!!

On Sunday we are meeting a online friend on the beach who i have been friends with for 3yrs but never met! We met on facebook when we used to play a fb application and it went from there. I can`t wait to meet up with her, she is a lovely lady and her family look lovely too!
