Reporting Ebay Seller

My question would be how do you know they sold £250 have you been keeping close tabs on them? Plus what is the profit margin on these items less paypal and ebay fees etc
Also businesses have to be registered whether they make a profit or not. A large turnover on eBay will attract attention from those who don't know the exact circumstances, so you usually need to make sure you keep an eye on how you appear to outsiders as well as how much you know you are keeping within the rules.
At one point I sold a lot of postcards from my personal collection on eBay, but don't any more, because it's so hard - even when you are within the rules about what is taxable or what is not taxable - to prove it to people who can only see what you list and how you list it. Whether or not items are a private collection, however you came by them, whether they are competition prizes or not, you have to be careful because your account can get flagged very easily and eBay are not known for sensitivity in this particular area."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
