DS1 was not impressed that I didn't bring anything back, but I didn't come across anything for him, really. I normally buy stuff when it's needed, rather than spending the same amount on each all the time.
oh well done you - I have never bought for one because I have bought for the other - my BIL on the other hand has always insisted on spending on his kids equally, whether it was needed or not. The odd times I have had protests (along the lines of it's not fair) I have reminded mine that they get what they need when they need it.

Stepper doesn't take much room at all but it's heavy! It's now clean, too.

I have made Speed Soup which is simmering in the kitchen.

Congrats on the step grandson Kaz - have we a name yet? Congrats to all!

Greenbee am I right in thinking that if a laptop battery isn't holding charge freezing it (and letting it come to room temp again) might have an effect (now thinks she knows why has been given laptop;))

Greenbee - I have this and it is 45cm w x 45cm d x 30cm high. I would much rather do real walking but it isn't always an option because of my little helpers. Like Valli says, it is heavy and attracts a loyt of dust.

I made a start on upstairs but it is f-f-freezing up there :o.

Slow progress this morning. Have turned tv's and games consoles off and told DS123 and DD2 no lunch until bedrooms are tidy. Had a disaster when I knocked the bucket over when I was mopping the hall floor. Soaked slippers, bottoms of wicker shoe baskets. The wooden floor in the dining room is lifting as it's been flooded:(.

I have technically completed the list, however there is still clutter all over the surfaces, and several boxes in the corner needing sorted. I am going to have a quick cuppa then go up and see if i can get through those without being distracted by the kids rooms, which REALLY need sorting too.

Grateful - Nuneaton is near to me, I have driven through a few times and it doesn't look very exciting tbh. There is a huge BandM next to the Asda if that floats your boat. What sort of shopping do you enjoy? I always like the look of Ashby de la Zouch or Market Bosworth for small independent interesting shops.
Thanks, hex. Whats BandM? I just need somewhere to trail DDs round while DH thrashes people at chess??!!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

    QUOTE]

That sounds interesting - what is it?

Before going out I swept and mopped the kitchen floor, flung lots of rubbish out and put coats in the WM. Went to school, unpacked a delivery (new voice recorders - getting quite excited about having a play next week) and printed off e-mail with car repair quote. Also stripped bed and left to air.

I'm tired again now, but in need of lunch. Will have a look at list while we eat.
