Afternoon all:D Does the white vinegar work on dog snot as well? It seems to be on most of the windows. The patio door is the worst though where the squirrels tease him:rotfl:

I dont know what has got into her latetly but everytime she has ten minutes downstairs on her own she decides to trash the house and doesnt listen to a word I say !!! I do not have a naughty step for her because in her room there is too much for her to do and also wreck , my stairs are open planned so its too easy for her to fall over and really hurt herself . But my patience is really running thin with her !!

The other morning my boyfriend came downstairs at 6.30 am and found the oven on fire because she had placed loads of plastic in there and a full bag of sugar along with whatever else {which I dont know because they were burnt to cinders } .

Sandy it works on kiddie snot so dog snot shouldn't be a problem!!!:D

Keys oh you could just murder them somedays, couldn't you? I have 4 kiddies and I have a VERY strict rule in my house that NOBODY goes downstairs before I do. Perhaps a stair gate on her room/top of the stairs to help enforce this rule might help to begin with?

Naughty steps ARE marvellous but I do see your problem with your stairs and her room. Same happens with mine when I send them to their rooms they end up playing with their toys which defeats the punishment aspect!!
May I suggest (as Supernanny does) a piece of carpet as a naughty spot, or a cushion, or a corner?? You just need SOMEWHERE to put her so she understands it's a punishment. Anywhere at all will do, a dining room chair if needs be... I don't recommend locking them in the coal shed though :rotfl:(although Ive been tempted a few times myself!!:rotfl:)

I hope things settle for you. It IS difficult at that "fiddling with everything" stage, but rest assured they will grow out of it eventually... in the meantime count to 10 (or 20 or 30!!!!) take a deep breath, pop her in the naughty spot, explain why she is there and
eventually you will get to a point where you can warn her she is going there if she doesn't behave/stop/ etc and she WILL! (fingers crossed!;))
:rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:

    Afternoon all!
Coats are in WM and have managed to sort 3 for decluttering - hooray! DD1 says DD2 can have her Boden anorak (am I wrong to be suspicious that no fuss has been made?) and that she is happy with Peter Storm jacket with light up bits on the arms that has been given to her by cousin. Has DD1 become dazzlingly mature all of a sudden?!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

All three are happily watching Aristocats and eating popcorn as a reward for playing nicely all week so far with no major arguments and no telly or electronic games. Hooray for lego, hama beads and sylvanian families! I feel as if I have moved to Stepford! ;)

I have been knitting a pirate jumper for DS friends 3rd birthday so have done loads of flying (not) but feel very chilled:D. Must now get off my bum and go and do something...anyone join me for an HHC at 14.30?

My parents had to put a bolt on the outside of my bedroom door at one point, as I used to get up at the crack of dawn, get my brother up and then go and play/cook whatever. It was for my own safety... but horrified my grandparents.

Suppose I should do some work. The window cleaner appears to be here, which isn't great...
  • DH is home :j:j:j and in very good spirits. and DS beside himself.

Off to do a bit more about the place, post letters & return library books, back later

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

  • Hi,
anyone got any good ideas for oven cleaners? I have done my oven with soda crystals and brillo pad. My oven wasnt too bad, but there was some burnt mess on the bottom and need to get the shelves sparkling. Trouble is I have MS and find rubbing, scrubbing hard to do so any good products to help with this would be good:rotfl:

Grateful - it is a discount shop - like Home and Bargains if that means anything to you (have a look on the Grabbit board). I will ask at work tomorrow what there is in Nuneaton. There is a very good all you can eat Chinese here that I went to a few months ago.

Thanks, it sounds good for a mooch.

Great news, as after a LOT of pestering have got most of DD1's results, and nothing sinister so far, thank God.

Lots of annoying jobs done today.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
