Grrrrrrr - ebay. Had an all-in-one printer (spares or repair) on for collection only . Winning bid of £4.99, with no postage just messaged to say 'I have paid, please post to London'. Errr hello but it will cost much more than that to post, grr to the idiot for not reading, wasting my time or for trying it on. Sent back message basically saying 'won't post as it was up for collection only. Please arrange collection or we will have to cancel transaction'
Edit to add: Post was very clear that it was collection only and as soon as it finished last night I sent an invoice stating - 'please contact me to arrange collection and cash on collection is preferred' he has paid via paypal without contacting me at all first to query collection/delivery.
So how do I cancel a transaction and get my listing fee back and keep my from getting negative feedback?Life is a work in progress0 -

Not had chance to do all the Ebay mamouth listing I was hoping for today (but did manage 5 items so better than none!). Spent the day at the zoo and nearly pee'd laughing having a snowball fight with the kids!
You lot boost my motivation.........so plan to be more productive tomorrow. :A
Bluecow did you see my post for you earlier, I was after some advice following my dads homevisit on Tuesday...yesterday went to his flat to discover he had turned the oven on (no idea why!) and left it on.... not sure what to do..... sorry haven't pm'd.Life is a work in progress0 -
BTW I've lost track of who is selling what (LOL) but those making stuff for weddings (tiaras, invites etc) have you thought about putting leaflets in local hotels? I was at 4 weddings last year and most of the hotels had a leaflet stand in the main lobby where lots of wedding services adervitsed their wares. It works becuase most people book the hotel FIRST so are still looking for the other stuff, which they might pick up whilst looking at the hotel.0

don't worry about feedback.... you stated collection only and they didn't read it! Offer to mutually cancel the transaction ,not quite sure how to do it, post in the ebay forums and someone will get the right answer.....
Bloody hell, not only have I got one Ebay seller offering to mentor me, I have just had a PM off another offering wholesale contacts!! I am totally gobsmacked.... this really wasn't the point of me posting on the ebay forum! I only asked about budgeting for x number of months for fees for a new start up!!!
Wow, there really are some nice people out there!!
Off to bed now, otherwise I won't have the right head on for my Gov visit in the morning!
Oh, and did I tell you all that the school has asked me to volunteer once a week listening to kids read/help with computer work etc? Although I already volunteer as a governor I though this might help any future job prospects just in case things go t!ts up.... what do you guys thinK?sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
Grrr, OH wanted pizza, so wrote our order down, came to £11. Got a voucher for half price when you spend £30, so thought we might as well, phoned up and half of it isn't in stock. He takes payment, with half of my order already gone, I've only got chips coming now.
Then he just phones back and says actually they are out of chips too but can't refund because I paid on card. So I can order something else, with no deserts etc in stock, or keep the money on my account...so now I've got no food coming, OH has a pizza but I don't really want any, I wanted potato.
Huh.
Edit: I feel better for that. Thanks :rotfl:Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

I was a bit wary to start with but... yep I guess there are some genuinely (sp, its late!!) nice people....
I was unsure about the school thing, but I thought it would get me out of the house. I've agreed for 1 hour a week on a MOnday morning starting next week for a trial to make sure everyone is happy..... think it could open lots of opportuinities as we (my sons school) is about to federate with a much larger school in the next village.... It would be great to be able to work in a school for a couple of days a week and spend the rest of the time working on the business..... until I get up and running that is, becasue I AM GOING TO SUCCEED!! As will everyone else here!
Now I really am off to bed!
Night all.... see you tomorrow....sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -

Fantastic help from eBay Mambury, that's brilliant! It gladdens the soul! :T Night night, sleep tight!
Victoria I'd certainly get your wrist checked out, could be something as simple as RSI - unfortunately arthritis runs in one line of my family and I was unlucky enough to inherit, at the ripe old age of 39, and docs have basically said 'live with it'. It is much worse through the winter months. It's very unusual as far as I know to get your first arthritis 'attack' in your wrist, so hopefully a little rest is all it needs but you're better to get checked out.
Awww Saucy, what a disappointment hun! Hope you do actually eat something though, rather than going without.
