hash isnt as bad as e e isnt as bad as cocaine cocaine isnt as bad as heroin it makes them feel better as they have someone to look down on and it isnt until you point out how much they spend on their drug of choice and how long they can go without it that a lot of people realise they have a problem.
you tend to find people who use weed dont consider themselves to be addicts even though long term use leads to memory loss, psychotic episodes and increased risk of lung cancerSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0 -
Paula - remember just because you have used the money for other things does not mean FAIL at the challenge. There were never any rules about keeping all of the money in 1 place and having it all at the end of the year.
The money you have used is still money that you wouldn't have had if you'd not been doing the challenge so still contribute to having an extra 10k over the course of the year.
Also you could class it as actually being part of the challenge.
If using the challenge money is really the only way of paying off the debt then it is generating savings on charges/ interest you would have had to pay if you had not done the challenge so far (you could even include those savings as part of the challenge). If you continue ebaying for example still count the money as it is still extra income from the year even if you are using it to pay off debt. The only difference is you are not reinvesting or banking it.
Really dribbling now - my sinuses are so painful.
going before I really become incoherent.

Evenstarcrafty - lots of hugs to you that sounds a hard situation to be in. Is your daughter struggling and needing support or is she just taking the mick?
There are times when mine were very little I could be said to have outstayed my welcome at a friends house just because I was exhausted and my children were happier there and it helped the day pass more quickly for me.
Are there ways you can support her without feeling like she is taking the p***.
Perhaps let them come round and have a brew and then say I am happy for you to stay and play in ***room but I have things I need to do so I will go and get on with them and come down and have lunch with you in an hour.
Maybe you could agree some nights in advance to look after GD.
Maybe get calendar out for March and say I am happy to look after her for 3 nights lets see which ones would work for us both - so she can see in advance when the breaks are coming up.
Maybe she is just taking the you know what I don't know but hope you can get it to work better for you.

sometimes you just get to caught up in a situation and carnt see wood for trees
I think its a bit of both, she does struggle and feels lonely but then uses me and takes the mick
shes very secretive and goes of after leaving baby with me and I dont know were she is for days,I get all dramatic and think somethings happpened, its a bit of a nightmare to be honest
When she was younger she took of with a boy who was no good and ended up sleeping rough in Aberdeen,so I overly worry but she should ring and let me know shes ok and check babys alright I think0 -

Evenstar crafty its easy for me to sit here doling out ideas - not always good at putting my own wisdom to practice if you know what I mean.
I seem to be in boundaries mode today:o so here are some of my suggestions.
Maybe do the dates for march thing and suggest up front that you have her for a slightly longer break of 2 nights at one point in the month. Then say if on any of these sleepovers she doesn't come and collect her when she says then you will cancel the remainder for that month or if its the last march one you won't do any in the first half of April.
Does she struggle for ideas what to do with GD; maybe you could help her come up with a list of cheap and easy things to do to entertain GD so that if her day looks endless she could just get out the list and choose something to do to help the time pass.
Maybe they could come round to your house while you do things and you could set up some stuff for them to do like bake a cake or sorting and stacking games or water play.
Maybe if you make the offers before she asks it will feel different to both of you.
I can so understand you going out of your mind and I find it hard to imagine leaving my children and not even calling them but I don't live in your daughters shoes.
Sounds like you are really wishing you had some more support for you as well. Could you swap with your daughter a bit. You entertain GD while she does something a bit older with your 10 year old. She might relate to a 10 year old a bit easier than 1 yr old.
