Munchki - is it a crack that can be repaired rather than replaced as I think excess is usually less or non existent for repair.

Glad you are finding it easier to breathe and feeling safer.

Had my friend look at it when I got here and he agreed, the windscreen is a right off *sigh* so now keeping fingers crossed it does not get worse before I can figure out how to take care of it all! I may lose the car anyway in a couple of weeks so, just taking things a day at a time!

  • evenstar - Go with her the first few times to some other centres, sure starts are great, I had issues with other people my age too, so it put me off, but went to socialise DD and it ended up being that I knew noone. Really helps as others are just as lonely and I found a few friends that way. What about local libraries, does yours have a kids session? I have a full schedule of 6 sessions over 4 days to keep me from feeling lonely! Ask health visitor for lists of them, or try groups in neighbouring towns so she can avoid people that make her feel insecure.

    thanks again for kind words
  • While I remember theres an intresting programe coming on soon I think on channel 4 but Ill check
Its called the key to success and is about how successful people think and how they achieve things, sounds like a must watch might be quite motivating

I have managed to drag some stuff out of the loft,Im knackered, and I should be ashamed of my hoarding
The bags and bags of clothes I have is something to behold,I wish I still fit into some of them.If vintage sell well Im onto a winner, some things date back to 80s even the 70s when I was a teenager and have travelled with me through all my moves but not this time, ebay here I come
  • Munchki!! Glad you got there safe and sound, stupid bliddy windscreen though! Relax and enjoy!

Got another question for everyone while it's nice and quiet here - I stayed up way later than I should have last night as I suddenly remembered my DD has a ton of Polly Pocket stuff up in her wardrobe. Spent ages going through it all and photographing etc with the intention of listing on eBay today. Only thing is, it's a lot of stuff, and I've no clue what postage will be, and my little kitchen scales couldn't possibly cope. There is one large 'house' and another 3 medium carry 'houses' - as well as 18 dolls, 29 jackets, 19 dresses, 23 pairs of trousers, 31 tops & jackets, 16 bags and 34 pairs of shoes plus all the usual accessories and furniture bits and pieces.

I suspect they'd sell better as a job lot, do you think my the local postmistress would throw me out of the post office if I packed it all in a box and took it along to be weighed but not posted?? :rotfl: I don't really want to do collection only, as I know I'll be heavily restricting who its available to and won't get best price. Not sure what best price is yet, but I'm watching a couple of current listings to get an idea.

    Toots x

check out places like parcels2go.com or parcelmonkey.co.uk for a box upto 15 kg think it is something like £7 might be cheaper than PO

just had a nosey on EBay and it seems they go best in small sets, there are a few job lots but o bids whereas this one seems to be going best http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Selection-of-Vintage-Polly-Pocket-figures-x-11-VGC_W0QQitemZ110492474778QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Doll_Bears_Dolls_EH?hash=item19b9dd5d9a

bigger lots like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POLLY-POCKET-JOB-LOT-8-PLAY-SETS-FEW-FIGS-B-BAR-DRESS-S_W0QQitemZ270530030443QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Doll_Bears_Dolls_EH?hash=item3efcd8ab6b Don't seem to be doing as good, maybe watch them?
maybe a few small lots would be best?
