I'm in London, and thinking back to travelling everywhere for lessons when I was in my teens, I wouldn't inflict that on you! I can probably recommend someone good near you, though if you wanted?

No, you're ok, thanks. She sings in the school choir and the chapel choir, so that will do for now. She wants to apply to music college though, so I'm thinking a year or two of more formal stuff might help? Not sure, as she is definitely an instrumentalist.

    Morning All,

I completed one of my four items last night - I started blogging :-) It's a lot easier than I thought!!

Although not to make money (well, the MSE related one anyway) but to inform people of my progress (although any income on other blogs is not a bad thing!). Check out my blog if you wish - its on my profile. If anyone follows it, I will follow their blog if they let me know the address :-)

And Munchki - something will come up - it always does!
Following your blog - a good start, very clear, looking forward to seeing your progress!
    LizD - jealous much!

Nixinixi - glad you are feeling more positive today! Doubt DDs will agree with me sleeping, but we can but try!

2cats - where are you? I see Cambridgeshire, but where? Craft fair sounds good, may come down, used to live in St Ives, and it still feels like home to me! What sort of parties is it you do?

THanks hun! xx Lots of coffee then for today!!!!

Definitely - the more formal sight reading/ear training she can fit in now, the better, as there's not necessarily time in the first year or so at college (the classes are always, in my experience, cleverly timetabled opposite something "more important"...!).
    Stage one - declutter
Stage two - sell the clutter
Stage three - turn the money into more money
Stage four - pat self on back

Im thinking of ditching Adsense (or at least lowering its presence on my website) as the last payment I had was April 2008 so thats 22 months and I'm only at £55-89 (end Jan figures). Payout is at £60

That's pretty much what I thought. She does naturally have a very good ear, and she does one violin class which is all done by listening and playing back (folk music, and the person is very keen on passing it on traditionally rather than written) and she more than keeps up in the class. I'll ask her head of music what she thinks, but it would really mean dropping something else as she does 3 instruments as it is!

Sorry, back to money-making after a quick dribble LOL.

Yep- know what you mean - I've had it now for 3 years on my blogs and I don't think I've been paid more than twice - but I'm at about £50 now - so we'll see.
Anyone have any experience of Yahoo's version of ads? My son tried to sign up with them but gave up at the point where I think they were asking for is IRS details (American) - not sure tho. perhaps it's changed now? I would think it must be a global opportunity?
