Have today heard back from the legal complaints service about complaint i passed to them a while back. They have obtained a Paragraph 3 decision which has been sent to the solicitors and also the SrA. This will enable the SRA to appoint an agent to uplift our files from the solicitors and deliver to us. This is so we can take independent legal advice on the next steps. We have taken this to FOS now anyway.

I understand the Solicitor has to finance this. They have not responded at all to my complaint so am waiting for the next step.

They do. They have the chance to respond it not then the powers to be go into motion. By all accounts it is very expensive so if he does not do as requested then he gets charged.

If this is Watsons you are talking about why would they do this? Why incur more costs by doing this? There has to be more to it as they must know the score? I just think there is something really fishy as to why they are stalling etc!

I quite agree I do not know why they are stalling. Perhaps not many people have complained, although my impression after talking to relevant bodies is that to go ahead cause you will not get paperwork back in time, this is well past 6 year date but is in time for 3 years after first realising.

So how you are saying that is like they were working "with" the banks in getting people to "not" claim for their missold PPI. Its almost like these companies had a back hander from the banks/brokers for getting people to sign up to them and then holding things back so long that they had no way of making a complaint otherwise. Just a weird view of this!!

Max, you have me very curious as to why they would want you to lie to win a case (only because I am nosy!) I hope you can post about it sometime.
Goodluck with it at the FOS. XX

I said it on here ages ago moo cow. I know that sometimes "ex brokers" take up positions in claims management. I know this is just probably my mind and how it works but I still think its a possibility.
