No what the meeting was for primarily was to see whether we would be good witnesses (whatever than means) He confirmed at the beginning of the meeting that we would be. The next thing is to take the informationgiven in that meeting (plus loads of homework I have to do) back to Counsel they will then make a final decision as to the percentage chance of success. If it is under 50 they are not interested. What they are trying to get back as a minimum is the amount outstanding plus the monthly installments that we have had to pay since the complaint first went to the lender. This is the minimum that they are asking for back. This would take the amount over the 5000 so should be OK there. With regard to the rest of it we will discuss that further in a second meeting. It may be the whole lot but that was not discussed. As long as we get back the PPI plus interest etc then will be happy about that.

Whilst investigating the refinanced part of this loan have found ANOTHER loan with PPI. That one is going through the FOS if needed.LOL
Have no idea what a "good" witness is? Have heard and seen of "expert" witness and then ordinary witness but not "good" witness?

I wonder how long it will be for these claims companies that have gone bust etc are setting up new claims companies for negilgent claims against solicitors for having their claims accepted and then being let down? I have a feeling this is going to be the next trend here. And I bet the next flop and rip off to clients.

well, my time line is now well and truly up with the complaint I made to Watson's (the 28 days on the legal complaint's form) so I have moved on to the next step and am waiting to hear from the Legal Complaints Service. As long as I can get the resolution I need, I will then be pursing my claims myself. So I guess I will be looking for some help guys as I don't even know where to begin now. This is all so mad and stressful.

    Hi Moo Cow

If you ring the Ombudsman now do not wait for the Complaint service to respond cause they told me that there was no way that Watsons would pursue any money. The ombudsman will advice you if you go through your complaints and give you a reference No. You can then download a complaints form from them and it will go straight through to the lady at the FOS that you talked to.

I know I probably rambling been laid up with Vomitting bug so feeling bad still. Anyway ring FOS ASAP in case some are time barred. Good luck

hi maxdp, thanks for your info. Might need to pick your brains on this as to what info I need to supply to ombudsman. I only ever complained to the lender and not the broker as at the time I thought it was the lender I had to complain to. They sent me the obligatory 'get lost' letter and told me to complain to loans.co.uk which I never did as i was pm'd by petermb and told it was always the lender responsible etc etc, and the rest you already know as you've been there yourself.:(
Anyway, where do I start basically? Sorry to be a pain but I feel a bit out of sorts with it all so am going to need a push off the diving board so to speak.
Hope you feel better soon hun. I had the same virus and it's pretty bad isn't it. dodgy hug seems to have disappeared so have a martin instead LOL! :money:

Thanks Moo Cow. I know that Marshallka has been saying that FOS are looking into chasing the Insurer in some cases.

My advice to you Moo Cow is get all the details of the stuff you put through loancheck making sure you know the dates etc which can be up to 3 years from when you first realised you were mis sold PPI. Just ring and talk to them they are really helpful and not at all judgemental, they will help you and advice you as much as they can. Any problems post on here with details and I am sure somebody will be able to help you. I know it gets you down and you go through emotional highs and lows with it all. Do not give up if you can get the PPI back then that is what you were looking for in the first place.

Yes the bug has gone through all in the household, literally. It is really nasty.

Chin up and thanks for the Martin hug LOL.x

Well to take this forward and away from loancheck and go with the solicitors my Business Partner and I would seem to have to lie about what happened. Have been warned already about statement and will not change it so think that is going to be the end of that.

I will not lie or my Business Partner. I could not go to court and use the words that are needed which are not the same as is what happened. I will post it up when am able but am not able to at the moment. Think this may be going to FOS.

Hi Maxdp & marshallka, just to keep you up to speed. All is in hands of financial ombudsman and am awaiting the relevant responses. Thank you so much. You were right Max, they were brilliant at the FOS. I told her I didn't have any paperwork now as the solicitor has it all and she said she could sort it from account numbers. She was really helpful. Just hoping that things move fairly quickly. I know they're really busy at the FOS but it's got to be better now it's in the right hands. Just wish I'd have done this all myself in the first place instead of using loancheck etc.
Will keep you posted with any further developments.
