Don't buy any more ready made food - unless its for a night out night in - if you get my drift!

    Bread (breadmaker is fab)
    Yogurt (easyo)
Cakes, biscuits and snacks - only make me put on weight so I make my own with the boys.
Only buy crisps when we're entertaining!!!

Buy cheaper versions of day to day things so that I can use my OS money saving to spend on the one off luxuries. Eg my friends engagement party is at the end of the month - so I'm blowing the last two months luxury money on a HUGE bottle of bubbly!!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Ready meals - cheaper and better to do your own shepherds pies and bologneses from scratch, plus you know what's in them.

Specialist kitchen and bathroom cleaners - white vinegar and a bit of soapy water does the trick.

    Fabric conditioners - unnecessary.

Washing powder - bought a huge container of it from Costco a couple of years ago and still have loads left. Also use washballs for some washes.

This list has built up over years.

    Air Freshners
    Fabric Conditioner
    Bread/Rolls/Pizzas
    Chutney
    Jams
    Marmalades
    Body Sprays
    Cleaning Sprays
    Window/Glass Cleaners
    Spray Polishes
    Ready Meals
    Cakes
    Houmous
Most Christmas Things try to make each year cake, pudding, mincemeat, gravy, bread sauce, cranberry sauce, pies, cards. Decos are a mixture of homemade in with others.
    Cushion covers

Probably loads more but because I don't buy them, we don't think of them. If you get what I mean.
    Put the kettle on. ;)
  • Cheers yummymommy - I'm very excited! Not sure I'll be able to wait while it matures!!!

I'll let you know how it tastes in a few months (if it hasn't sent me blind)
