I no longer buy washing powder or fabric softener because I use washballs. One of the presents my son bought me for Christmas was some liquitabs. He has discovered them since he started at university and thinks they are "awesome." I used them and didn't think to use any fabric conditioner and I noticed the difference. When I use a wash ball my washing is much softer and I don't need fabric conditioner.
I no longer buy muffin cases, I bought some good quality heavy, non stick muffin tins and no longer need cases. I hate the artificial smell of air freshener and no longer buy that either.0 -
I stopped buying fabric conditioner years ago and have never missed it!
Now removed from the list is ready made mash and rice in curry ready made meals (I know, it was in pre OS days!) and the Taste the Difference ranges etc. Oh yes, and soups - started making these again ages ago and never buy then any more.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I don't buy air freshener, mainly because I don't like the chemical smells, but it's also an unnecessary waste of money - I tell the family to open the window for a few minutes if it's necessary!
I stopped buying fabric softener, and don't even use vinegar.
I stopped buying bread ages ago - I make 4 loaves at a time and freeze them.
Coffee when we are out shopping has gone by the wayside too - the amount we spent on 'snacks' during 2009 was horrendous :eek:0 -
Never used fabric softener due to 3 children with excema but I no longer buy Washing powder since we got our Eco balls they save us a fortune....my best OS but ever.
I have eco-balls sat in the cupboard:mad: I only use a quick and cool wash and the eco-balls instructions say I can only use on a 40 degree full wash.
Has anyone used them on a quick, cool wash with success?0 -
never liked paper towels but OH and Dd swear by them, however they havent noticed I havent bought any for 12 months ! I got a bit big headed in Mr T's today when I was offered some taste sample of a product allegedly made from Tuna - it looked like fish spam, I politely replied - 'We don't eat processed food' and we really do avoid it, but I do have the luxury of being at home 24/7, if I was still working Im sure I would use a bit.Clearing the junk to travel light
