New Nationwide Switching Offer - Feb 2010 - £75

I applied for this yesterday. I have no accounts with Nationwide. I set up a standing order for £1 per month from another unused account and transferred this under the terms and conditions, (ie: transfer all direct debits/standing orders AND didn't specify a date to do this).
All in all it took about 10 minutes. I was then told instantly that I had qualified for the account complete with debit card, chequebook and overdraft. Nationwide are sending out a letter for me to sign and send back as confirmation.
Hope this is some help, I'll post confirmation once the £75 is paid in. :T0 -

No, according to the T&Cs of the offer,T&Cs wrote:11. The £75 payment will be made directly into your FlexAccount within 8 weeks of us completing your account transfer including the transfer of your standing orders and bill payments and advising your Direct Debit companies of the change in your account details.

My new Flex Account has been opened and viewable online since beginning of March, however, there is no sign of the standing order that was to be transferred from another account I have elsewhere (set up just to qualify for the £75 transfer offer). I rang N'wide to check that all was ok, and was told that you have to set these up yourself  (I knew I shouldn't have bothered to ring them - their staffs' knowledge doesn't get any better). As I applied for the account on the 19th Feb and it was opened a week ago, should the SO transfer be viewable by now?0

Have you had the letter to tell you that the standing order has been switched?0 -
Following the application online, I received a letter which I had to sign and return. I received the debit card last Saturday, but nothing else. On the application I selected box A (I think it was, from memory) which confirmed they could transfer the SO with immediate effect.0

One of the other times I did the offer, I transferred accounts from Cahoot, must have taken them a month to send the dd/so/payee details to NW.
This time I transferred from Halifax and Citibank accounts, and the DD/SO's were setup in a few days.
So it all depends on your existing bankIf it was Cahoot, don't hold your breath

There is another letter you should receive confirming that they have transferred the SO.0 -

Mine's from Halifax as well. There is another letter you should receive confirming that they have transferred the SO.
Thanks, I've not had a second letter confirming transfer, so will keep a check on it. If nothing arrives I'll get in touch just to make sure they're aware of the transfer request.0
