Anyone think of any direct debits that can be setup quickly online? Apart from paypal.

    Cheers, Des.

Doesn't need to be a DD.
Just set up a SO or a bill payment to any other account.

Yeah, but I'd rather have a DD or 2 setup also :)

There is no point in doing so.

How do Nationwide know what SO's or DD's you've got in the other bank? That's what I'm confused about a little? I got my 'welcome letter' today to sign and send back. I've been accepted with a debit card..

    Posting it off tomorrow.
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

With your authorisation from the form you sign and send back, they contact the institution with whom you hold the account from which you are switching. That bank/BS sends the details to Nationwide.

They contact your existing bank and ask them.

  • filled out the online application and they sent me a message saying I'd transferred my account using the same details last year, so they would have to send me a form if I wanted to transfer again So...

    1) Has anyone else seen the same?

    2) Has anyone transferred Account-x in the past and then submitted a request to transfer exactly the same account again?

I know there are people who have successfully claimed multiple incentives and guess some are transferring small, single SOs from the same old account each time, so what gives?
You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...
