New Nationwide Switching Offer - Feb 2010 - £75

I'm a student and just tried to go for this. I have an Abbey student a/c (with a £1,000 as yet unused interest free O/D, plus a natwest student a/c with £500 O/D available) and was going to transfer all DDs and SOs from but all it offered me was a cash card which isn't eligible for the £75 offer. I guess this is income based?0

Well, it won't be eight weeks from now.
See post #7 for full T&C from which -
11. The £75 payment will be made directly into your FlexAccount within 8 weeks of us completing your account transfer including the transfer of your standing orders and bill payments and advising your Direct Debit companies of the change in your account details.
So it depends on the speed of their switching processes.0 -
Thanks anamenottaken - I just received a secure message from Nationwide:For most transfers, we will set up any standing orders and bill payment mandates on your FlexAccount within 10 days (or four weeks if you have requested a list of your payments to indicate your preferences).0

Last time they had a similar offer my £50 incentive was paid well within the 8 weeks.
Around 6 if I remember rightly.0 -

Thanks for your helpful post. On the basis of that, as explained in my earlier post, I'll not bother trying for this at the moment. Obviously the attraction is the £75 so if I'm unlikely to get that it isn't worth the hassle. I'll wait until I've graduated and found a job so I have a reasonable income to tell them about.0 -
I'm thinking of going for this....I just upgraded my account to a debit card account last week, waiting on the debit card.
I have an old Lloyds student account which I'm paying the overdraft off. It isnt my main account anymore so has no DD's, but I was thinking of setting up a PayPal link to it as a dummy DD. Would I need to set up an SO too or is the DD enough?
Also, if I switch these away from Lloyds, how likely is it that they will recall the overdraft? I've just given this a try, and I received this:Thank you for your message.
Thank you for choosing to transfer your account to us using our Internet Bank Account Transfer service.
We already completed an account transfer for you using these details in July. If you would like us to set up another transfer using the same details we will need you to complete an authorisation form.
I have today posted this form to you, please can you sign and complete the form and then return this to us in the pre-paid envelope.0 -
Now open to all as long as you have a debit card on the account.

There is no longer a clause 15.

If you're not logged in and check the T&C's on the link from the homepage then there is no clause 15.
However if you log in and check the T&C's from your account page then it does include:
15. The £75 payment is only available if you have received a message related to this offer from Nationwide within the Internet Bank
So is this offer available to all or not?
Only one way to find out .................................0 -
When I log in I don't have any link to T+Cs for the offer.
I assume that if you have you are one of the people who have been invited.0 -

BTW - If you can't see the advert when you're logged in have you maximised the prompt on the left hand side?0
