I highly recommend the Jergens body lotions, usually about £4.99 but currently half price in Boots. I've tried the firming one and the extra softening ones and they are both really rich and soak in well.

Calamine lotion can help in some cases. I sometimes dab some on at bedtime. I think it's less than £1 for a bottle and it lasts ages. You can use it for all sorts as well - I use it for sunburn and if I need to reduce redness after plucking or waxing!

I went to my local Aldi today to get some more of this, and there was NONE!!! Shelves were just full of the Lacura range, whihc I never found as good.

I am really hoping that it has not been discontinued, as I love this cream...

I tried the Siana one when it was big news and although the creams themselves were nice, I didn't like the strong perfume of them. Do you know if the Lacura range smells the same?

Scoobs - have you tried Renew Oil from Wilkinsons? Its about £1.78 a bottle I think. I bought it a few days ago due to a small scar I was trying to improve but have been using it on my face a night too, does look a bit oily to begin with (hence I only use it at night) but it seems to sink in pretty quickly. Does smell a little 'floral' which I'm not so keen on but for the price i can kinda live with that.

Since arriving back in the country from Oz at the end of last year I have had spots on my chin all the time. About two weeks ago I started using Santuary hot cloth cleanser and have had no spots since! Of course now I have typed this, i'm sure one will pop up tomorrow!
So perhaps try something like that? It is half price at the moment.

I'm very pleased with my Benefit concealer pencil - free with Glamour magazine this month (magazine costs £2.) I've used Rimmel hide the blemish for years, but like this pencil better. It normally costs £17 (!) which I wouldn't pay for a concealer, but I'm happy with £2!

There were 2 other Benefit cosmetics you could collect too - a black Kohl pencil, and an eye brightener pencil too - again, each of these were worth £12 plus.

I got the Kohl pencil - nice and soft and lasted all day. Bargain.

    Hi everyone

I bought some of the Renew oil from Wilkinson and I'm very impressed with it so far. I use it on spots (43 years old and I STILL get spots :( ) as well as a lovely light eye and lip treatment at night - it sinks in beautifully and has a gorgeous, old-fashioned floral scent which lasts through the night.

I've also been looking for the perfect cleanser and have being converted to the muslin cloth method thanks to a mini-sample Xmas gift of Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. However, I have decided that it really is too expensive and have tried various others without success (V expensive mistakes!) Looked in Boots yesterday and came across their Traditional Cold Cream - not the one in the blue box, but a round, white pot and it was tucked away on the bottom shelf and cost all of £2.37 for 200ml! Tried it last night, and guess what - it's fab. Smells lovely and left my face soft, smooth and not at all dry, and this moring my face looked nice and clear, which is a rare occurance for me. So :T to Boots!

Also, for all those other unfortunates who, like me, have open pores, I use Collection 2000 Mineral powder foundation, rubbing gently in a circular motion witha powder puff, not a brush and it does a really good job of covering the 'orrible 'oles in my skin. Can't remember how much it costs but it's a range that doesn't break the bank and it has improved vastly in quality recently, so it's worth giving it a go.

Hope this post has been of help!

    Hope

I cut my hair a few months ago and I have been using shampoo and conditioner from Superdrug's own range called Naturals. They come in two flavours the peppermint and coconut/sweet almond. After shampooing, I use the conditioner as a leave-in conditioning mask, wrap my hair tightly for 60-90 minutes.(i do this once every 2 weeks) and then wash it off. My hair has improved so much, its growing very fast and its very healthy. Amazing thing is they cost just 99p each. The best shampoo and conditioner i have used.

I know this has been mentionned before, but thought I'd confirm!
Primark's mascara called "9 and 1/2 winks" is amazing!!! It's better than my Lancome Hypnose, no joke. It makes my lashes long and thick, doesn't clump even after 2 coats, doesn't give me panda eyes, holds the curve properly and it costs only £2! I think I have found my HG! lol
I'm going to stock up next time I'm in there. :T
