I've not used the Clinique scrub, but would definitely recommend soap and glory's "scrub of your life" it's absolutely great, you only need a tiny bit, and boots currently have 3 for 2 on skin care.

Can anyone tell me if the Boots Botanics "pure" range at poundland is easy to be found? Or does it disappear out the shops? We only have a small poundland which is hideous for wheelchair accessibility and I try to avoid going in there if at all possible...!

Scrub of your Life is great, I love it! You know what's really great to use as a scrub, much better than anything I have tried in the UK, even expensive Microdermabrasion. A Kese Mitt from Turkey using Olive Oil Soap. It's totally natural and you can get a body Mitt too. Search on Ebay, there are a couple of dedicated sellers and the face plus body Mitt should only cost about 2 quid. It's what they use in Turkish Baths and they make your skin AMAZING... :) xx

Ooooh. Just bough the Aldi Lacura foundation and i love it. Only been using it fourn days but is really good. I usually use Maybelline, but though i'd tried this as it was £2 something.

Gives a thick full coverage, but is easy to build up and last all day. Has a matt-ish finish and blends in well.

Colour-wise i'm quite pale and use the translucent shade (the other 3 seem quite dark) Only issue is they don't have testers so you sort of have to guess.

Does anyone know of a cheaper substitute for Clinique's 7 day scrub cream. I've been using one of the samples from a gift bag but it costs £16.50 full price! I've tried lots of other face scrubs (including St Ives ) but this is the only one which leaves my face smooth and keeps the spots away.

Any suggestions on a moneysaving alternative?

You will find loads of this on eBay - "sample" sizes and full size. Do a search, then click on the box that allows you to sort the results by price including postage. Check out the feedback of the seller. I buy all my Clinique stuff on eBay.

Thanks for that! :) I have Keratosis pilaris- which is an overproduction of keratin- which means I have lots of bumps on my upper arms and thighs, really annoying to get rid of! So will have to try that! I've actually been using scrub of your life on my body which has worked wonderfully.

Just bought Palmers Cocoa butter- UNSCENTED!- in Superdrug for £2.49 today, bargain! And got the new L'Oreal face wash with a "scrublet" as well as 3 botanics bits- eye make up remover, toner and moisturiser coming from Boots online that I ordered the other day, all for £16 inc. postage.

GOSH's highly rated eyeshadow base is £5 down from £6 in Superdrug, and I got a really nice eyeshadow brush in there for under £2, it's a QVS one, I've had a foundation brush from that range before and really liked it.

Collection 2000 "Hot looks" nail varnish in Button moon is GORGEOUS and under £3, or 2 for £3. and No.17 have 2 for £5 on their long lasting nail polishes, Superdrug have Rimmel 60 seconds nail varnishes @ £3.49 each or 2 for £5. Loads of nail varnish bargains around at the moment!

After reading this thread I have bought the Boots blue fragrance free eye make up remover, and have to add to the comments, by saying it is the best I have ever used(and I have used A LOT-used to work for Lauder)
I also invested in the natural radiance balm, but just wanted to know, should this be applied before or after moisturiser? Thanks

I'd been wondering this. The web site doesn't say but, assuming it is in fact the same thing as the Clarins version, their one says "Morning or evening, after thorough cleansing and toning, apply (without massaging) a very thin layer over the face, neck and eye area. Apply make-up immediately, if desired. Beauty Flash Balm can also be used as a facial mask 2 or 3 times a week. "

So I'm assuming it's instead of moisturiser.

Apparently (cause I didnt have a clue either), its a beauty serum, before but in addition to moisturiser. Hope that helps x
