I use Johnsons Baby Moisturising Cream as a facial moisturiser as I have very sensitive skin. 99p for a tube, and lasts a couple of months. It takes about ten mins to sink in fully if I put a reasonably thick layer on, and leaves my skin baby soft.

TJ's is great for famous name bargains. I've bought a selection of 3 of these this week for £1 each in TJ's. They are a really lovely silky long-lasting lipgloss. You just need to be prepared to go and have a little rummage.

(They are also currently just £1.50 here http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/Revlon/Revlon-Super-Lustrous-Lip-Gloss/invt/0021693?source=122_4 )

Does anyone know of a cheaper substitute for Clinique's 7 day scrub cream. I've been using one of the samples from a gift bag but it costs £16.50 full price! I've tried lots of other face scrubs (including St Ives ) but this is the only one which leaves my face smooth and keeps the spots away.

Any suggestions on a moneysaving alternative?

All baby stuff is great for sensitive skin, the boots own aloe massage gel is a brilliant body moisturiser :) xx

I've not used the Clinique scrub, but would definitely recommend soap and glory's "scrub of your life" it's absolutely great, you only need a tiny bit, and boots currently have 3 for 2 on skin care.

Can anyone tell me if the Boots Botanics "pure" range at poundland is easy to be found? Or does it disappear out the shops? We only have a small poundland which is hideous for wheelchair accessibility and I try to avoid going in there if at all possible...!

Blimey! Not had chance to log on in the last few days, some great tips since then! Can recommend the Dr Organics from Holland and Barratt - like the Manuka range personally, lip balm is good - and it's on offer buy one get one half price at the mo. Just bought 2 tubes of the double strength aloe vera gel, thought it could be useful in case I inadvertently get caught in the sun this summer(ok,ok if we get a summer!!) Double whammy if you add some pure lavender essential oil to it for sunburn, by the way:) Might see if I can get some of the SD Optimum line decrease to soften some of my laughter lines!! St Ives body lotions are half price in Tesco I notice and so is a lot of the Johnsons 24 hour range - tried some of the handcream on the strength of a recommendation on this thread and it's great - handy size for keeping in your handbag too- a bargain at only 99p! Have a great weekend, bargain hunters!:EasterBun

I like the Dr Organic manuka honey range too. I have used the Rescue Cream - great for my dry sensitive skin :)
  • Hi all

Lidl do a great soap, it's got tiny grains in it so not only does it cleanse but exfoliates as well but without drying your skin, I think it's about 80p.

Thought you might be interested to know that Superdrug have Nivea - in the dark blue bottle - for £1.74, Poundlands Pure range wipes are 2 for a pound and Bodycare have the new St Ives body polishes for £1.49(think they were about £5 in Superdrug/Boots!) Happy bargain hunting girls!:j

Great tips, just becareful about the wipes. In Tesco and Wilko you can get Vitamin E face wipes for 27/28p, so you could get 4 packs for a few more pence than 2 packs would cost in Poundland. Sometimes it's easy to get sucked in because everythings a pound! lol. I love Nivea though, do you know which type it is, because we go through loads in my house! :) xx
