I don't know if anybody else uses this but unfragranced baby lotion is great for taking of any make and really gentle, you can use it with cotton wool or as I do just wash off, if you don't have too much make up on! It's cheap too!

I recommend Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream. I think it's £4.49, so only a shade under a fiver, but it's well worth in my opinion. The skin around my eyes is really sensitive and if anything aggravates it I get excema, but this cream doesn't give me any problems - it's the only I've found that doesn't. It goes on really easily, and lasts ages too. Plus Boots have 3 for 2 on all facial skincare at the moment.

I also love Johnson's holiday skin, which is moisturiser with a touch of self tan. You can get it from Poundland (so only £1.00 for those who don't know Poundland!), so it's far cheaper than using normal fake tan. It looks more natural too as you can stop using when your skin is the colour you want, rather than risking any fake tan disasters!

Does anyone know of an alternative to Benefit's Benetint, which is a liquid lip and cheek stain in red? Superdrug sell a cheaper version of Benefit's Posie (the pink version), but I've yet to find a red version.

Superdrugs ME ME Me range do a copy of benefit's Benetint, Posie and another one called high beam and they are £4.99

and there is a red copy in the 2true range also in superdrug for 1.99 although the shade is more of a dark pink (the ME ME Me one is more of a proper red).

hope this helps, I love the Benefit ones but they are on the expensive side!

I have this problem and most concealers just don't stick, but I have been using a mint colour corrector mineral concealer and use a eyeshadow blender brush to buff it into the area around my nose, lasts all day. I got it free as part of my sampler kit from Signature Minerals. You only pay for the postage to the UK (about $7/8) and you can choose up to 6 items. I ordered all of their concealers which come in little jars and the mint and yellow (under eye circles) are great. I probably won't need to look at buying any for at least year as i have been using it for months now and still have over half a pot left.

The signature minerals sample set i got was good value as you get 6 sample jars and a lot of product and I use the mint corrector everyday.

But similar to Benefit's Lemon aid is Lily Lilo's peepO yellow colour corrector, it is my absolute favourite and I can't be without it for getting rid of those under eye shadows and brightening my eyes.

The full size jar is quite expensive at £7 but you can get a zip lock bag sample for 75p plus £1 postage and a little goes a long way. They also do a mint green colour corrector too and I will try that once I have used the one I have from Signature Minerals.

I had some Liz Earle cleanse and polish bought for me and I really like it but it is so expensive.
Does anyone know of anything that is a more economical version?

I like the St Ives cleansers. They do a moisturising one (which I love) and one for blemishes, which my 2 oldest kids absolutely love. We use them with muslins that I bought off ebay (baby ones) that I cut into 4 pices and edged on my sewing machine. That way we can all have a clean one every day, and I was them with the wash balls so that we are not putting any chemicals on our face. The tube I think is 150 ml and it was on offer at Tesco last week for around £2.03 a tube!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Yep, that's the one I went to buy yesterday...it's half price so I bought two. Going to try it today! As it's so highly recommended, and all the range is half price, I also bought under-eye cream, 12-hour day-cream with SPF15, and make-up remover. If the under-eye cream is half as good as Clarins then I will be buying it by the truckload!!! :T

Well let me know how you get on :) xx

I have seen Sanctuary but that is about a tenner.
This is a great thread by the way - love it.

This is quite similar to Lush Ultrabland too - that's about £8 for a big tub (lasts for ages) but they sell a smaller pot too and I think they usually give free samples if you want to try something. HTH.

Tesco's has a natural /eco type stuff which is similar. I live cleanse and polish too but trying this when my current stock runs out!
Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

I received my samples yday from latestinbeauty.com basically how it works is you sign up, pick a skin, fragrance and body sample then you send a text from your phone which costs £1 and then you receive a reply from latestinbeauty with a code. So basically you're getting 3 samples for £1.
I got: Vichy Detox 24 Hour Moisturiser (3ml sample in a tube, sufficient for 2 generous applications) / DKNY Night Body Lotion (2 x 7ml sachets, sufficient for 2 full body applications) / Christina Aguilera's Perfume in a small vial sufficient for 1 application.
The DKNY also came with 2 x small vials of the EDP. I have it on today and already I have had a compliment!
So, some little beauty treats which are big brands for a quid! Yes please :)
