Something else I do too(hope this doesn't sound too extreme:)!)when I think I've got to the end of a tube of something - like the beauty flash balm that I'm just finishing! - I cut the tube in half - it's surprising how much is left in there. You can put the top bit of the tube back on to keep it fresh or transfer to a small clean pot(and I have bought some of the Superdrug substitue to try:D!)
If you like Clarins, boots are currently doing a free gift woth £30 if you buy 2 products. I wanted beauty flash balm, and eye revive beauty flash...but that'd cost me £50..I was nearly tempted by the gift, but decided it was false economy and just a trick to get me to spend more. In the end I bought just the eye creme, which was £17.99 at cheapsmells.com with free postage. I'm off to Superdrug for the face creme, if their half price sale is still on it means it only cost me £20 for the two products. Much better than £50!!!!!!0 -
I'll pop over there now and have a little read. Thanks to the others for answers too. I hope it's not something I'll need soon, but it's good to know about it!
Shandyclover your house sounds about as manic as mine, except I'm one of those children! Don't worry, one day they'll grow up and start breaking cars instead of themselves!
Katyboo - it did, thank you!
I cut the tubes up too!
I am also guilty of tube cutting. And if I drop or damage a container, I've been known to scrape every bit in to a tupperware box rather than throwing it away. Even if the product only cost next to nothing in the first place! xx0 -
My favourite is Angels on Bare Skin from lush...it's something like £4.40 for a pot and is the only exfoliator I've found that doesn't dry my skin horribly/give me spots/I'm not allergic to/other such nasties.
It also seems to help with the scars I've got from nasty spots too, even the older ones.0 -
Great thread , I am wondering does anyone know a more MS version of Benefit Lemon Aid , I have read great reports about it but just cant justify the price at the moment.
You could try Max Factor Colour Makeup Base Face Primer in Yellow
Or, someone on here recommended an American Website to me called sheer minerals, which sells 6xsample pots of mineral make up - you just pay the P+P no commitment or anything. You can only get one of each product in sample, I got the green and yellow mineral bases, which work like lemon aid and similar; green for redness and yellow for dark eyes. Apparently they are fab and last ages. I've ordered mine P+P is £5.50 ish (read back through the thread and you'll see I sadly worked out the paypal conversion lol).
Hope that helps! xx0 -

Dont know if you've seen on this thread, but Superdrug apparently do something called Natural High Radiance Balm which is exactly same as Clarins product. Might be worth a look for you to save some pennies xx0 -
I have this problem and most concealers just don't stick, but I have been using a mint colour corrector mineral concealer and use a eyeshadow blender brush to buff it into the area around my nose, lasts all day. I got it free as part of my sampler kit from Signature Minerals. You only pay for the postage to the UK (about $7/8) and you can choose up to 6 items. I ordered all of their concealers which come in little jars and the mint and yellow (under eye circles) are great. I probably won't need to look at buying any for at least year as i have been using it for months now and still have over half a pot left.
My best friend has the same problem too, she swears my the breen concealers sounds and looks very odd but the colour counteracts redness, ive tried it myself once and it did work. You can get one of the green concealer sticks from the natural collection in boots for £1.99. Hope this helps0 -

Yep, that's the one I went to buy yesterday...it's half price so I bought two. Going to try it today! As it's so highly recommended, and all the range is half price, I also bought under-eye cream, 12-hour day-cream with SPF15, and make-up remover. If the under-eye cream is half as good as Clarins then I will be buying it by the truckload!!! :T0 -
I had some Liz Earle cleanse and polish bought for me and I really like it but it is so expensive.
Does anyone know of anything that is a more economical version?
I have seen Sanctuary but that is about a tenner.

I bought some Palmers Foot cream today for £1.99 on offer at Superdrug instead of the L'Occitane one for approx £12. The texture is great as is the price.
