It's beautiful (and I remember the earlier pictures with the all-purple fruit - that was just as lovely - it was you, wasn't it?)
What size pot is it growing in?0 -

Yes, it was me, and it's in a Morrison's flower bucket. 9" across, 8" deep.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

This is probably the prettiest thing I've ever grown:
I planted potatoes but a few months after you so I've been waiting with eager anticipation for the flowers.
I thought they'd be like triffids  because of your photo - turns out they are only about 1cm across0 -

Well, mine were bigger than that but not huge. Maybe 3-4cm, if I remember correctly. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Well, I've harvested cucumbers (delish!). Many more on the plants, & with the rain I'm hopeful more will grow - there are still many flowers.
Tomatoes are ok, I hope. A decent cropt is there, but still waiting for them to ripen up.
Picking beans a little more regularly, they're cllearly enjoying the rain! As are the sprouts & brocolli, which continues to suprise me with all the florets I'm harvesting from it!It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
My kumatoes:
Really pleased with them. Seem to be my most reliable (and mildew-resistant) variety this year.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
All in all, I'm not doing too badly on the tomato front:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Do you eat them all fresh, or do you have a method of preserving them (apart from the ubiquitous chutney recipes)? If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0 -
What a glorious selection. :T:T

I eat the little yellow ones like sweets. I eat the orange banana ones and kumatoes (brown) in sandwiches etc. The bigger ones (Purple Ukraine & Amish Paste) I've been blanching them to make them easy to peel, then chopping or blending to use in place of tinned tomatoes, or chopping & freezing to preserve them.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
