Disaster!

I have 150 sony DVD-Rs and this DVD player will not play them

That's really interesting, I didn't know the divx players are a mini pc essentially, I thought they just did some clever decoding to output to the screen. Fascinating.

Is there any left? I went today and they had a load of dvd players in a white and blue box but didnt say anything about divx or avi on it.

they dont actually mention divx - it just says mpeg4 playback...

Are they very picky with the xvid divx playback?

All this technical talk is putting me right off buying one, can you just plug it in, bang in a CD and watch a film.??

My remote control also not working.

definitely not my incompetance, just doesn't work!!

Player is A1 otherwise. DivX playback is SOOOO much better than prvious machine.

Fingers x'd Aldi can sort me out a new remote and/or player!

Anyone had a remote prob they've solved?
