We just bought one of the HDMI ones yesterday and took our 5.1 divx back today because it couldn't even manage to play retail dvd's let alone one with divx files on it.

Have a much happier result with the newer one.

They had quite a lot of the hdmi ones at the Kendal Aldi today - I was looking for the £29.99 one with usb from a couple of weeks back, but they didn't have any in - I was tempted by this hdmi one but it did not metion divx on the box and I don't have an hdmi tv! Is it still a good player?

to all that have problems with this, try the umax kazuki 2000X,

i bought one and its great, its only £25 inc VAT and around £5 shipping, but if you order around 3 its still only £5 shipping, forgot to mention the place. ebuyer.co.uk these guys are the only people that have these in stock, it also has a display but isnt shown on the picture.

ifti, when you forward the divx does it forward like dvd (e.g) Does it fast forward like vcrs or skip skip etc.

I want a dvd player that forwards like power dvd, as sometimes when you search for any paticular scienes it easy that way.
I have waited too long for yamada 6800.

The hdmi is poinless for me so paying etc for this feature is poinless.
