I would quite happily laugh at you in real life.
This is not, in your case, misfortune. I have every sympathy for, say, someone in apparently stable employment who loses their job, borrows money, is unable to find another, ends up in a debt spiral etc etc.
That isn't you though, is it?Sig to go here...0 -

Before you throw a tantrum, no one is laughing at you, merely pointing out that you acquired the debt, therefore it is your responsibility.
It appears to me that the victims in this case are the credit card company, you are not stating that they have actually done anything wrong, merely that you think there may be a way of avoiding paying the debt through legal chicanery.
One wonders how you would feel if you had loaned 5k to someone and they refused to pay it back as you had forgotten to get them to sign for it.0 -

Now why might that be?
Is it that we were all bullied at school and are just waiting for an illiterate to pounce on?
Or, perhaps, is it because you've behaved in a despicable manner and are being called on it. Have a go - think about what you've done. Maybe you can work out why it's stealing in time for the court case and thus save yourself some bother by not contesting it.Sig to go here...0 -

Oh how times seem to have changed.
I remember a year or so ago there many posters like the OP who were basically saying that anyone that actualyy repaid their loans and credit card bill was an idiot.
I for one am glad that this whole grubby little episode seems to be drawing to a close.0
