wasnt something about these potterton boilers on watchdog as they were faulty a few years ago now?? i remember it because my boiler kept tripping off however i had gone to the expense of having a part replaced to the tune of 200.00. Then i saw an article on watchdog and on there web site they had produced a template letter for you to print off and to send to potterton....

I read something about this aswell, but couldn't find it when I did a search....

the engineers will input all that and it will go up to suit next year

    Thank you heating-eng.

I don't understand why the rads aren't piping hot. I go to my friends and you touch their rads and you have to quickly move your hands, ours are never this hot :(

Does anyone know of a different telephone number than 0845 600 5100 please? I don't want to call an 0845 but these are the only ones listed on this site http://www.britishgas.co.uk/Contactus.html

Just called BG, and they said that internet cover takes take 4-6 weeks to be processed. After this time I'll get a letter and they'll come out within 28 days to complete a service.

I asked re them coming out just to check the boiler is in full working order, and they said that isn't the case - the very first visit is a full service..

They wanted to know if I wished to set up on the phone there and then as that would be "active" immediately and she could make the appointment straight away but I said no, I'll stick with online..

    Now I'm confused..

There is a new thread on this forum re homecare against fixed fee at BG - there are a fair few people who don't rate Homecare....
