I booked some flights through Travel Select who are the sister company of Last Minute and specified that I needed fully flexible, refundable tickets as my plans may change. Anyway, they did change and travel select charged me £300 in charges to cancel the flights, and then told me I would have to wait 16 weeks for a refund! They were shocking, and I will never use them again, and in the end I had to threaten them with legal action as they kept telling me the refund had been processed when it hadnt

    Thanks for all your replies.

I have only flown with Jet on domestic flights and their service has been excellent. Thats one of the reasons I chose to fly with them this time!

Does anyone know a UK contact number for lastminute.com? I am having no joy with the call centre in India who are unable to tell me anything more than "someone is dealing with the matter".

    Many thanks.

I would not expect a long haul business class flight for £300, there is likely to be no intention to deceive.
Lastminute do owe some sort of compensation, especially since this likely error has been brought to their attention and thus reduced the possibility of other claims.
    No links to lastminute.
So you have decided that Lastminute should not sort this out ,are you having a laugh.
Expect what is advertised(reduce possibility of other claims,so a claim is justified, before it was brought to their attention)
Why are you defending this error.

Upon doing a quick search on Google to find a contact number for lastminute.com, I have found a huge number of complaints against the company; a complete lack of after sales service.

    For example here:

Whether they honour the flights I have booked is besides the point, but so far they have demonstrated to me that they have no customer care skill what so ever.

Can anyone find a UK contact number for this company?

According to some posters here, lastminute.com need not do anything about this issue as it was a simple error. Maybe it was. If I had made a similar error during the booking process, for example a typo while inserting the date, and then wanted to change it, would they have allowed me to do so (free of charge) as it was an error? I doubt it, so yes, maybe it was an error, but an an error that they are solely responsible for.

And at the moment they are not taking any responsibility for it what so ever. Their call centre staff have been taught how to fob customers off with promises of "we will call you back", "someone is dealing with the matter" etc etc.

It is because consumers in the UK are so tolerant of bad service that such companies like this get away with this kind of behaviour, they never would in the States.

    Rant over.

    Thanks for that fama.

They asked me to call back after 7pm yesterday - I did, they close at 6.30pm. Another simple error?

I would be really grateful if someone could find a UK contact for this company.

Should point out, at present Travelocity and Lastminute remain as different operations.
