TBH I've inflated postage costs myself before to avoid fees - buyers will still pay what they're willing to and in one particular case the item cost me about £2.50 to post, I charged £15, buyer still paid a lot less than RRP, no complaints, 100% positive feedback.

If you're happy with the overall price then don't moan about it, if you're not then don't buy!

Sorry, but you should be kicked off ebay, and eventually will be.

Ever wonder why fees are the price they are?
It's because of rule breakers like you- ebay get less revenue so they put the prices up for everyone.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Ebay are already making a killing as the cartel that they form with PayPal.

I won't be kicked off eBay and there are far worse things that go on than a bit of fee avoidance. :D

That's a) not the point and b).... oh I can't be bothered as you'll only tell me I work for ebay or some such nonsense.

People have been kicked off for less, but you keep telling yourself that. :rotfl:

I don't sell enough on eBay to even appear on the radar tbh.

I saw someone selling car stereos for £10 with £650 postage - now that's outrageous :rotfl:

I do hope you don't rely too much on ebay then as your 'career' will be fairly short lived I'm afraid.

You'll find many of us on here take this ebay lark seriously, some of us actually live on the money and some of us use it just for holidays and special treats. As we prefer to carry on using it we are careful to understand the rules and how it all works, we would never want to throw away a good earnings source just to save a few pence. That is a very odd business model indeed.

Just for the hell of it I emailed this to the seller of the dress with £40 postage:

Hi. Just wanted to confirm the postage on this -
    should it read £4? Thanks.

    He sent the reply:

    oh b u g g e r!!!!!! !! no. thanks for bring ing that to my attention!

    Blatant or what!

Item has now been relisted, and guess what?...... Still the same inflated postage price.

So much for Ebay and their "Report this item", and would anyone even consider buying from such an obvious liar?

Green is not my colour anyway:rotfl:

  • I might have considered bidding on this item 220550398223 but not with £40 for 2nd Class Royal Mail.

No, I'm not thinking of getting married:eek:

i would have reported the excessive p&p but can't see that as an option from the drop downs...........

Re: OP: Contact paypal re the £3 - send them the email where the buyer says "opps it was the wrong price listed" - surly they can only go in your favour???
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
